Jean Silva and it’s not close. The skillset he put on display last night was incredible… everything from his striking, athleticism, and takedown defense was elite.


Lets not act like natural 45’er Jean wouldn’t have destroyed washed Mike Chandler as well last night.

I’m not impressed by Paddy getting thrown around by losing streak Chandler until he gassed himself lol. Bros fast twitch is absolutely shot, he looks slower every fight.

Paddy has beaten a Chandler that has only 1 round and has been smart enough to keep his energy in the 1st and then accelerate in the 3rd when Chandler was done

I think they both looked good, but I also feel that both of their opponents fought with low fight IQ. I don't think Bryce or Chandler will ever sniff being ranked inside the top 10 again.

Both were great.

I was actually expecting a great performance from Paddy. I knew he was very good and technical after the Green fight. That was beautiful transitions and very clean submission technique.
He said that he saw Charles lay the blueprint for beating Chandler, and after he saw that Charles didn’t get the submission, he decided that he would just gnp to the victory and that’s exactly what he did.

I was more impressed by Silvas takedown defense and how he was able to toy with Bryce. He showed that he is a complete fighter.

Paddy's for real, but last night was a FW showcase and it was fucking fantastic. Paddy held basically every physical advantage and it was a dominating performance for sure, just a torch-passing at 155lbs.

Silva really wanted to hurt Bryce. That dude's got a mean streak when he wants to.

Volk, Lopes, Yair, Mitchell and Ige were all ranked fighters (top 15). Silva and Pitbulll belong there. Can't wait to see who matches up with who next. Yair and Alex are a given, but the other pairings are still going to be awesome. Too bad Ilia didn't stay at FW. Volk is 36, and these other guys are hungry.

If there was any debate about whether FW or LW is more talented as a whole in the UFC, last night the FW's put everyone on notice.

Silva, Mitchell is a more impressive scalp than Chandler at this point.
He's Topuria's 3rd best win arguably.

I picked Chandler on thinking he had this one last chance against a guy who holds his chin high in the air. However, Paddy not only showed off a much improved striking skillset than even his Green fight where he outboxed Bobby, he also absolutely dwarfed Chandler in the ring physically.

Silva in his fight proved he is a title contender, Paddy proved we've been giving him too much shit, but not that he's top of his division.
