Who was your biggest UFC bust?

Big Nogs UFC run was sadly underwhelming too.
Come on man he at least won the interim belt and beat Randy. Lil nog had the worse run a lot of people thought Jason brilz beat him and beside beating washed Tito and evans he did nothing of note.

Given that a few good ones have already been mentioned...

Miguel Torres

Yes, he had some miles on him and already had recent losses WEC, but to good fighters...but he was still young enough that I figured he would make some noise in the UFC, but...not so much.
Forgot about Torres. He was a beast. WEC was fun.

There has been many fighters that were elite outside of the UFC with tons of hype behind them. Fighters that we thought would absolutely dominate everyone and become champion. Then after waiting years to see how they would do they ended in utter disappointment. There's lots of honorable mentions like Cro Cop, Falcao, Brooks etc but there was always one fighter I never imagined to do so badly in the UFC. Hector Lombard..... Dude was 31-2-2 with 20 KO's crazy fast hands, big power, insane judo and looked like the cuban Mike Tyson. Damn shame how his career ended losing 6 straight with several KO loses. So what fighter is your biggest UFC bust? Let's hear em sherbros.

For me, definitely Will Brooks. I expected I LOT more from him than what he showed.

But yea Lombards up there. Lombard in his prime was FEROCIOUS. Unfortunately, I think the UFC got him too late. If it weren't for those VISA issues earlier in his career, it would've been a different story.

Marc Diakiese

Thought he was gonna be the next contender, maybe champ

He has/had good wrestling and elite KO power, was young and cocky

Just could never put it all together I guess

Conor McGregor, has 1 win since 2016 against an over the hill Cerrone. This dogs bark is a lot worse than his bite, ever since he fought Mayweather.:(

It's amazing how much shit Will Brooks gets even though Melendez did far worse in the UFC than him.
How so? Brooks was cut far earlier and literally shouldn't t have a win in the UFC. He lost to Ross person and then was finished 3x in a row easily. Gilbert should have won his split dec loss debut title fight against Benson and then won Then had a close fight with Eddie which he could have gotten the nod and only finished once in his UFC career.
Im no fan of gildough but claiming broos did better is absolutely trash.

Hmmms...

Transition to UFC - Cro Cop (obv)...

Upcoming Hype Job - Shabs

Hector got a 400k signing bonus, 300k to show, +PPV points, on his first UFC deal.

Hard to argue with TS.

And no, I will not source this, cuz fuck this forum. Sources are gay.

I thought for sure "Mayday" would be in the mix for a long time. He was young and only lost to the best at the time and I guess injuries forced him out.

Another one was Joe Duffy. Thought he would make a bigger splash in the UFC and beat McGregor again in the rematch.

Heres the kicker, he's now with SBG, and the fuckin wonder coach John "I absolutely suck" Kavanagh.
Couldn't be at a worse place imo.

His last fight was so bad. Their coaching literally caused him to lose and easily winnable fight.

Yup, they kept telling him to feint, and that he was winning...why lie to the dude?

I mean unleash his natural beast, and no not his dick lol

Brandon Thatch. Watched him grow up in the ROF promotion that is now defunct but had awesome cards in Colorado, mostly in Broomfield. There was a shit ton of great fighters that fought under ROF and he was one of them. Tons of finishes in the first round. Huge ass WW.

Won his first 2 fights then gots sub'd 4 in a row and hasn't fought since.
