There has been many fighters that were elite outside of the UFC with tons of hype behind them. Fighters that we thought would absolutely dominate everyone and become champion. Then after waiting years to see how they would do they ended in utter disappointment. There's lots of honorable mentions like Cro Cop, Falcao, Brooks etc but there was always one fighter I never imagined to do so badly in the UFC. Hector Lombard..... Dude was 31-2-2 with 20 KO's crazy fast hands, big power, insane judo and looked like the cuban Mike Tyson. Damn shame how his career ended losing 6 straight with several KO loses. So what fighter is your biggest UFC bust? Let's hear em sherbros.

Edmen Shahbazyan, he looked incredible against Brad Tavares. Tavares is a stiff test for any fighter and Edmen beat the brakes off him and viciously KO’d him with a headkick.

been rough after his ground game was exposed.

Honestly a lot of people had to eat crow on that one.

It's a bit differnet but a Pretty big disappointment has to be Cody Garbrandt. Who would've thought that the then bw champion with hardest and fastest hands of all time at bw, who just dominated the greatest bw of all time, would end up washed up at 30 and only winning one fight after that amazing performacne.

Gilbert Melendez.

21-2, top ranked lightweight, 9 title fight victories in Strikeforce, here comes the man that's gonna show Strikeforce is the new WEC in terms of dominating the UFC lightweight division!

Wait for it...

Wait...

6 years later, retires 1-6 in the UFC.

If you told someone after he beat Cruz that he would go on to lose 5 of his next 6 with 4 by KO they would think you smoked crack lol.

It's amazing how much shit Will Brooks gets even though Melendez did far worse in the UFC than him.

If we're talking recently.
I'm gonna have to go with Johnny Walker.

That dude has all the physical attributes, but can't seem to get out of his own damn way.
