Jon Jones(the correct answer) should be in this poll.

He was the first one allowed to do it . The Champ Champ concept was around long before Conor.

Name one UFC fighter before Conor who publicly stated they wanted to be SIMULTANIOUS 2 weight champ but got 'was not allowed' by dana..

list please.

BJ Penn was ALLOWED to do it when he was lightweight champ. Penn had a rematch with Georges St-Pierre in which he attempted to be the first one in history to be simultaneous 2 weight champ.

Conor was a groundbreaker for this achievement, regardless of his current spiraling downfall.

Also, Conor coined the term 'Champ Champ'

Correct me if im wrong, but no fighter even thought of the idea to do it simultaneously because 99% of fighters arent big picture $$$$ thinkers/marketers.

Conor was a groundbreaker for this achievement, regardless of his current spiraling downfall.

Dan Henderson already achieved this in 2007.

So, your incorrect.

I was about to chime in and mention BJ Penn also.

Dana really wanted to have GSP and Silva fight. He also wanted Silva to fight Machida for LHW strap.

Because Dana doesnt have friends of his own and he doesnt want anyone else to have friends either. Stitch Duran was never his friend.

Well apparently Donald Trump is his frie..

Wait, never mind.

Probably has to be Nunes just by virtue of being the only fighter to actually defend both titles while holding the other. I wanted to go with DC but the shadow of Jones looms so large over his reign I just can’t. Amanda is probably the only one who was clearly the best fighter in both divisions she held titles in, but goddamn was 145 weak.

Hendo was gifted that win against Busta, then after that he went on to lose a non title fight to Misaki. That always tainted his double champ status for me.

Yeah but man his willingness to fight anyone anytime at any weight has to at least be taken into consideration.

Respect the shit outta him, dont get me wrong. I think he had the strongest schedule of any MMA fighter ever. I just never considered him the best in any weight class, at any point of his career. Even when he beat Wand, people considered Shogun the real #1 guy.

Yeah when Wand lost to Hunt and Arona, people just didnt see him as the invincible barbarian he used to be. Shogun was on the rise.

DC ducked the Stipe rematch and took the BB squash match just so he could say that he defended. He’ll never get my vote.

DC, he did it the right way. Won gold at two of the most difficult weight classes and defended both titles against top competition.
