Television Who was the best 90s tv dad?

No one will say this, but it's the answer: John Marshall Jones as Floyd Henderson in Smart Guy. Widower and single father to three kids including a child prodigy, he has his own roofing company and busts his ass while always being there to provide a shoulder to cry on or a kick in the ass. Criminally underrated (at this point more accurately forgotten/unknown) show and I've always loved Jones' father character in particular.

No one will say it because I don’t think many know the show. I’ve never even heard of it.

I know. I acknowledged this myself.

I’ve never even heard of it.

It was a WB show during its original '90s run then it aired a lot on Disney in syndication in the early '00s. I don't have Disney+ but I'll bet it's on there. Definitely worth a watch. Even the Pilot is great.

That would explain why I never heard of it. I never knew of WB until the 2000s, didn’t even have cable until the late 90s. I’m not sure I knew WB had their own sitcoms even today. Sounds like they portrayed him as a positive role model, something severely lacking today.

Another candidate nobody wants to acknowledge, because so much of the actor was in the character, but the character wasn't the actor's worst IRL crimes:

I think a lot of us remember this as more of an 80s show. I know it went on into the 90s, but it had lost a lot of its shine by then.

Oh, dude, The WB was huge. Comedy, drama, and kid/cartoon stuff.

There's Mexican households with 3 dudes raising a family, with no woman?😆
Dan,joey, and jesse were actually like mexican dudes in that they were womanizers. if you pay attention to the show. Joey might have also been an illegal from Canada. Jesse had becky swarthy guy with a white woman.
