Believe it or not PED/TShogun's issue is that his skills suck ass, not that he doesn't have enough testosterone anymore. It's not that he's not fast enough to land things, it's that he looks like he doesn't even know when or why they should be thrown anymore. Hendo never got that bad, even when he couldn't even turn his head independent from his body anymore lol.
Also Hendo competed for another 2.5 years after TRT was banned. He knocked Shogun the fuck out in that period.
Yeah and Dan went 4-6 I mean 3-7 (the Bisping rematch should've been Hendo win or draw) during his non TRT fights.Shogun's issue is that his skills suck ass, not that he doesn't have enough testosterone anymore. Interesting question! Gun to my head, I pick Shogun.
One reason why Hendo was able to last longer than Shogun is that he was almost the perfect tweener between 205 and 185lbs. That's a tough gap to bridge against elite competition, but Hendo seemed to be made for it, and he leveraged that throughout his career. Shogun, on the hand, is a decent sized 205er, and I have a hard time picturing him making 185lbs.
Also, this might sound nit-picky, but I never liked Hendo after seeing the Fedor fight. Hendo very clearly punched Fedor directly on the back of the head, and that was the punch that put him down. His Fedor win is one of his most celebrated, but I'm surprised that the overlooked foul isn't brought up more.
