Its such a weird booking. It would make some sense if Costa was on his last fight and refused Whittaker/Khamzat/Strickland on that contracts pay so you give him a prospect and maybe hope he can beat Costa on his way out and build off that name. But with Costa signing a new deal what do you gain here? Either Costa knocks off a prospect who wasnt ready or you knock Costa out of big fights for right now. If you are high on Ikram give him someone in the rankings but not as high as Costa.

Georgians are Christians, Azeris are Shia Muslims, Chechnya and Dagestan are Sunni Muslims and Kalmykia borders Kazakhstan and has much more of a culture influence from Nomadic culture and the Mongols. Even Ossetia that orders Dagestan but is behind mostly out of frame beside Ingushetia is split with a slight majority being Christian. They even all have different languages lol.

anyone who thinks this is Chimaev's fault is fucking delusional at this stage.. This is entirely on UFC and their fault not his.. No amount of delusions will change ground reality

I used to believe that Dana is worried that Khamzat will get more attention at press conferences than him, hence he doesn't want him to fight again.

After the UFC 291 announcements, now I think he's worried Khamzat would make the 185 and 170 divisions look like chumps. He's literally too good to fight in the UFC
