I thought Assuncao won the first one but man TJ is getting even better and I'm not sure if Assuncao is improving enough to keep up with him.
Assuncao is still legit and underrated. He's pretty sharp defensively and won't be bewildered by TJ's stance changes because he fights from both stances a lot as well. He has a really good jab and his counter straights from both stances are really good. That's what gave TJ fits in the first fight. He's also a really good grappler.
I think it would be a close, technical fight with the better man winning. I hope this fight happens and it makes sense considering it's a rematch to a controversial fight and Assuncao is already deserving of a title shot. He would have got the shot that TJ did if he wasn't injured.
