McGregor was just scheduled to fight for the title in March. Diaz beatJ when he was ranked 5th, was suppose to fight Alvarez before the RDA injury, and beat a world champ when he was suppose to be a sacrificial lamb.

Plus Alvarez wants to fight the winner. The UFC isn't going to waste this opportunity.
