That was a close round. Connor edged it but Khabib impressed.

This round 3 discussion is overrated in my opinion. Khabib convincingly won round 1 & 2. One coudle argue some referees might of stopped it in the 2nd round when Khabib was landing heavy punches in the guard.
In round 3, McGregor has his mouth open, no more power in his punches and Khabib was walking him down. Which ever punch McGregor landed had little to no effect on Khabib.

And his sheer will alone would have won him that fight...

I can see judges giving it to Conor for volume. Not much damage there, but volume is often the main criteria in scoring. Only things that top volume as far as scoring goes are knockdowns, takedowns that lead to some control and, of course, octacon control. Just kidding with that last one.

But for Conor calling it "his round" so proudly, and like he felt like it was some huge success for him, when it was in fact a pretty close round in a fight he lost, it's just kind of sad.
