Who pays for fighters' injuries?

The UFC treats them as independent contractors. They pay pretty bad (for most fighters) and likely don't give them anything towards health insurance. I would imagine getting an individual policy would be hard due to their occupation. It would most likely require a very high premium or possibly even a rider on the policy to not cover injuries sustained during fight/training. Paying out of pocket would be extremely expensive.

So who picks up the bill on this stuff? Like how will Meisha actually get her nose fixed?

thats what i thought but a fighter who i cant remember said just the other day that its bullshit they dont, unless they only pay some and not others
