Who out of the following pairs is truly better OVERALL?

Lol wut? Holly Holm isn't the womens' boxing goat. Not by a long shot.

Agree about miesha though. :D

Edit: Forgot about the original question but don't mind and don't care.

She's listed as the GOAT on Boxrec isn't she? At least she was back before the Ronda fight lol.

I don't know about that.
She is certainly the greatest female boxer in the history of Albuquerque

LOL at anybody picking TJ.

Holm. tate needs holm to fuck up. holm just needs to stick to her game plan.

Part of her game plan was to stop Miesha's takedowns, and, if Miesha did take her down, to get back up. She lost because she lacked the skills to do that. It had nothing to do with fucking up. Despite what many Sherdoggers believe, the better fighter isn't necessarily the one who spends more time "winning" the fight.

In terms of what the TS is asking, Holly might be better overall but it's hard to say that when she was dominated so badly on the ground. She needs to face more of the top ten before I'd consider it.

I just checked, she has dropped to #2 in the all-time rankings so yes, she was probably 1 at the time of the Ronda fight.

WAR Holly Home legend of New Mexico.

Do you have a link?
Cause I didn't find a ranking on boxrec.

On this page, change gender to 'female' and status to 'all boxers.' Holly is listed second but has the most 'points' whatever those are.

Miesha Tate beat the greatest or second greatest female boxer of all time.

Saint of Wrestling. Queen of the Grind. High school is too REAL.

Love it, but:

No Ann Wolfe, no Lucia Rijker, no Regina Halmich, no Christy Martin in the top ten.
Where is Layla McCarter?
Emiko Raika is ranked higher than all of the aforementioned chicks except Christy Martin.
WTAF?

"old short wrestler" what the fuck?
Lol OP calls DC "old short wrestler" but then calls Tate "goddess of high school wrestling"

A 50 year old DC with bum knees would be a better wrestler than Tate at ANY point in her career.

seriously.

if you love wrestling so much, and you goddamn well should,it should be glorious incredulous splendiforous olympian Daniel Ryan Cormier, master of the mat, tyrant of the takedown, dictator of the double leg against some swede

and Miesha uh...miesha the high school wrestler vs whoever.

Holm did stop tate's takedown attempts plenty in that fight. her game plan was to stay outside, pick tate apart and use angles so that there wasn't a clean shot for tate's grappling. She did that most of the night.

she stopped and threw a lead left without any lateral movement and got taken down. If i remember correctly, that's exactly how she got taken down in round 2 so she already knew what was going to happen when she did that. That's why i said she fucked up. it was a stupid move that had already burned her 10 minutes earlier and was the opposite of what she was doing the rest of the night.

tate, on the other hand, tried to get it to the ground and couldn't until holm did that. Tate couldn't dictate where the fight happened and she needed holm's mistake to get it where she wanted it. that's why i said tate needed holm to fuck up.

I do agree that she lacked the skills to get back up.

I agree that the ground is a big weakness for her and that she needs more fights against the top of the division.
