Its easier to spot in Sambo worlds videos.I am not familiar with that Armenian belt style but I know of Georgian folk stuff and clearly it has given Georgian judo some of its flavor, due to the lack of sleeves in Georgian folk stuff. They work a lot with high / back / collar and belt grips and overhook as well, which is a very close type of fighting and lends itself to monstrous throws.
Will check out that Armenian stuff you mentioned.
Armenian lighter categories athletes are very good at controling the hips of their opponents, by using their belt.
