Who is Weili Zhang going to fight next?

weili could also fight val if she doesn't want to wait
Why? What does Zhang bring to the fight that Shevchenko hasn’t already seen and beaten? Physicality? Striking? Power punching? We certainly know it”s not grappling, because we”be seen very little in t he way of grappling from Zhang?
Other than trying to make yet another bogus “super fight” I fail to see the point. Zhang has too much work to do at strawweight, anyway.
Valentina has repeatedly said Zhang has business in her own division to take care of before she can start calling for superfights.

I am inclined to agree, Zhang has one title defense to her credit and she almost lost. She needs to beat more contenders at 115.

This era of fighters winning titles and immediately jumping divisions without really defending is tiresome. Lineal champs are always better and more meaningful.

Fighting the champ of a lighter division... There needs to be more incentive to risk it. Look at what happened to Cyborg's career after losing to Nunes.
Cyborg went back to crushing cans, which she would have done win or lose against Nunes, because that”s what she does.

Has Rose sparred with Valentina since her fight w/JJ? If not, and given that Valentina is not a pressure fighter, I'm not sure how much that sparring will have helped prepare her for the pressure that Weili will be bringing.
Weili is not a pressure fighter. She is, like Valentina, a counter pressure fighter. Nobody said she did it to Val's extreme but that is what she is. A style built to be a champion.

Mate, one hematoma doesn't make a fight. Stop being delusional. The scoring system weighs damage above all else, and guess who had to be carried to her corner? Cause it wasn't JJ.

The scoring system weighs "impact shall also be assessed when a fighter’s actions, using striking and/or grappling, lead to a diminishing of their opponents’ energy, confidence, abilities and spirit. All of these come as a direct result of impact. When a fighter is impacted with strikes, by lack of control and/or ability, this can create defining moments in the round and shall be assessed with great value." Joanna was the one that had these moments, she was the only one that had Weili seriously hurt, Weili never had JJ rocked.

You can cherry pick all you want, but striking numbers don't lie, and in a close fight, it was clear that JJ outstruck Weili, and caused more damage.

Edit: I'm calling you delusional not because you think Zhang won the fight, which is a totally fair opinion, because it was a close fight.
I'm calling you delusional because you think there is no room for difference of opinion, because you stated it was a clear cut decision. It was not.

“Legal blows that have immediate or cumulative impact with the potential to contribute towards the end of the match with the IMMEDIATE weighing in more heavily than the cumulative impact.

Weili wins because of this.

No one at 125 appears to have brought what Weili has the ability to bring, certainly not physicality, striking and power punching. RE: grappling, Weili has more submissions than any other fighter at 125. There appears to be no one at 125

Weili's not a pressure fighter? I'd like to hear her opponents take on it. Comparing her style to Valentina's and calling them similar is ludicrous.

shev would kill his overrated chick. she hasn't even mentally or physically recovered from her fight against joanna to even fight rose. its pathetic only competitive wmma division and the champ fights only once a year. im down for a rematch considering how close last fight was and the fact that rose is the mentally weakest fighter in the division (except against joanna)

She still has to fight Rose. If she wins then maybe she’s ready for Shev super fight.

You honestly think a strawweight is going to bring the physicality to a flyweight who took on the best at bantamweight and beat all but one of them?

What other fights are there for Valentina after Andrade?

You think Murphy will be a better fight?
The result will be the same, but at least Murphy's shot will have been earned, rather than manufactured.

Why am I not surprised that you can't read. This is why I stay away from this place.
