I have been saying I thought GSP was GOAT for a long time,but these numbers are skewed by TS making a stupid poll.Tyron Woodley,Chuck Liddell,Melvin Guillard (obviously all jokes).Where's guys like Hendo?Plus it's Sherdog so the poll doesn't really matter anyway.

The top spots are spot on though. The bottom doesn't matter.

Hughes finished BJJ black belts on the ground. And no, that's not how you pronounce it. I'm sure you can think of a racist equivalent pronunciation of a common name - how would you react to that?

Thinking about it, I still can't figure out how racism ties into Sherdog liking Fedor and GSP. Even in the Sherdog boxing subform, all of which have heard of the Klitschko's, the brothers are not considered greats despite being white. But you're saying that the only reason GSP and Fedor (two notoriously non-American fighters) are popular on Sherdog is because they're white ... you're inconsistent. If race was the issue, the Klitschko's would be as popular on Sherdog as Fedor and GSP are.

I'd say the difference is obvious; Fedor and GSP are popular not because of race, but because they are among the four best fighters. The Klitschko's, though as white as Fedor and GSP and similarly foreign, are unpopular because they're not among the best boxing HW's. In fact, given your argument for nationalism trumping race (ie your argument against the Klitschko's) you'd have to argue that Jones has a big initial advantage over Fedor, GSP, and Anderson.

And given that Fedor doesn't even speak English, everything else being neutral he should have the smallest following on Sherdog - suggesting the reason he has a good sized following is because he is a great fighter rather than racism.

How does it not matter?It makes it a joke.Melvin Guillard has the 3rd highest picks,more than Jones,Silva,Mighty Mouse etc.If you're going to make a poll on Sherdog you kinda gotta try and babysit the idiots and not give them stupid options cause that option will take away from real picks.

On a side note that's about how I see it too.
 
I think this thread is confirmation that GSP is GOAT. Fedor is clearly second. There need not anymore GOAT threads. The results are very clear here.

I think 1 and 2 matter. There is a saying 'for every three idiots there is one smart person', so it's easy to weed out the lower numbers.

I voted for Fedor. It’s funny to me that all these guys like JbJisgoat who change goats every year. I’ve seen it go from gsp to Anderson to Brock to Cain, jones,to Ronda, to Conor, back to gsp.

GSP is a great fighter and I have no problem with people saying he’s GOaT, I’ve been saying he’s #2 for a long time.

Fedor is a finisher and him and gsp are just two different flavors. I like fedors seasoning but it depends on your taste buds

Fedor never finished at the highest level. GSP did.

Easy to knock over cans not full of soup.
