Cro Cop I guess too but Grand Prix and King of Kings are in championship purgatory IMO. They clearly aren't belts but they aren't clearly not world titles either.

Also, Thiago Silva who had all of the athletic abilities and skills to be a champion just had some head issues that got in the way of championship success. Although he’s the kind of guy (much like Romero) who can literally beat ANY fighter in the weight class on any given day. Or lose to someone he had no business losing to.

Yoel Romero's title chasing days aren't over yet. Rumble Johnson comes into mind. Chael Sonnen (although he should have gotten the WEC title). Gustafsson, Masvidal (if you don't count BMF), Demian Maia... There are plenty of top guys that never touched gold.

If I had to pick, would go with either Gustafsson or Romero.

I think the problem is a lot of these guys could easily be champs in other organizations. I looked up Ricardo Arona and he actually was the Rings champion if that counts...
