Who hits harder? Ngannou or Foreman

Some things to factor:

- Ngannou 4oz Gloves
- Foreman pillows
- Guarantee Foreman's opponents had much better chins than Ngannou's on average

Should have done a comparsion with Wilder since he's a current active HW boxer.

45yr Foreman with a 10th rd KO of 26 yr undefeated HW champ Micheal Moorer.
Thats being heavy handed.
Not sure Francis could pull that off so late in a fight

Came for this GIF - thank you.

HEAVY hands.

Ngannou. Punching power has evolved a lot since the 70's.
So boxers in the past 50 years have improved improved technique?
Foreman KTFO of some bad dudes. But I'm not trying to belittle Ngannou. In such a case I give the benefit of the doubt to the boxer, but I bet either could KO me if they managed to land a few clean shots.
That and Ngannpi, through not fault of his own hasn't faced many super durable guys. Blades and Stipe are the most durable and they clearly aren't a Mark Hunt or Big Country.

Foreman can hit hard without tremendous winding up. His handspeed doesn't look impressive either. Sometimes it looks like a glancing shot in a combo and it puts the opponent out. Sometimes he does get excited and throws clubbing shots. For a power puncher he throws more volume than Francis. It is much easier for George to setup the knockout.

Foreman was an accumulation knockout artist against really light opponents. I find it insufferable how many discussions on this site ignore extremely relevant info that can be verified in a few minutes. I have a boxrec account, it shows you how heavy Foreman's opponents were for his his fights. The heaviest guy he knocked out was 246, the 2nd was 235. The vast majority of his opponents weighed in south of 220.

Ngannou is much bigger and faster, he hits much harder than Foreman did.

One of the most impressive feats in sports ever. Moorer that night was truly impressive, he put a magnificent display of boxing, distance control, footwork, creative striking for 10 rounds, until the stopped stationary in front of of Foreman.
I believe that Foreman was way more powerful than Ngannou, but all heavyweights agree that Ernie Shavers had a terrifying punch power, even compared to Foreman.

Maybe free swinging on a bag Francis hit harder. In a fight, I say Foreman. His technique and footwork were superior allowing him to deliver his full power shots. In the Moorer fight you see it on display. What seems like an easy shot is delivered with concussive force. Foreman also had the ability to make people walk into shots generating even more power. Foreman would be more accurate with his shots too. A bomb doesn't do much good if you can't deliver it to the intended target.

How can we seriously answer this question though? The fought in diff sports and faced diff opponents.

Usually, when answering silly questions like this one, I go with the boxer bc their punching technique is sharper, hence generating more power.

Ngubu hits hard for sure, but we would need to see him in a boxing ring vs the top boxers of the world to answer the question and, of course, hope for him to hit them clean with a powershot

I'll never understand peoples who purposely misspell Francis last name. It's clearly a thinly veiled racist joke.

Tyson was a punches in bunches type of guy. He had a shitload of power, but he was well behind guys like Foreman or Shavers

It’s amazing how many people don’t know this. Tyson could sure fire off powerful combinations at incredible speed though. I remember watching videos of him hitting the heavy bag and it sounds like machine gun fire. But if we’re going with one punch power someone like Foreman or Wilder hits much harder.

If Foreman hit people with 4oz MMA gloves he’d actually kill people.
Lol the dude was 30 pounds lighter and much slower than Ngannou. Foreman wailed on 210 pound guys before scoring sloppy non out cold tkos
