I really don't see a route of victory for Hermansson unless he has secret power we don't know about.

He isn't controlling Whittaker, let alone getting him down - Shahbazyan is poor at defending both.

But standing, there is such a wide depth of striking between the two. Hermansson is... not good, Whittaker has one of - if not - the best jabs in mma; really sharp footwork; more athletic and stronger; a lot more powerful; great fundamentals - the best boxer at middleweight; yes, I know Adesanya knocked him out, because Adesanya is more complete.

But really, how does Hermansson think he can win this? He was getting pieced up by Shahbazyan prior to getting taken down, but comparing Whittaker and Shahbazyan's ability to avoid getting taken down is almost criminal.

Which sherbros are picking Hermansson if this fight gets booked?

He has a good high guard style and jumps back from flurries whenever he believes he's outmatched on the feet, which in this case would help tremendously against Whittaker's way of striking. I also believe he can hurt him with surprise advance of his own and hold him down on on the ground like he did against Edmen.

Maybe if Whittaker somehow gasses in the third round? Cardio is weird like that. Sometimes you fuck up your energy levels and just gas.

Thats it.

Help him? Jumping back? If Shahbazyan was more experienced he would have took this time to land some more damaging shots - imagine what Adesanya would have done to Hermansson with his high guard. Jumping back with a high guard is awful if your opponent can attack the body (Whittaker can). That is if Hermansson can survive any amount of time on the feet - which he probably can't.

No one. Bobby will punch his face in

Unless Rob slips up and leaves his neck or something open in a clinch or scramble, he probably either UD's or TKO's Jack.
