who has the GOAT balls?

Has to be Akira "Mr. Pride" Shoji

http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Akira-Shoji-10

This dude had balls of steel and gave no fucks. He lost a lot, but he was 5' 8'' and a pudgy 185lbs and was mostly fighting HW's. I bet with the right diet and weight cut he could have made 145.

He fought some tough dudes that were usually much bigger. Remember in Pride if there was a big gap in weight the smaller fighter had the option of allowing head stomps and soccer kicks in the rule set. Well when he fought Semmy Schilt (who is 7' tall) he opted to allow head stomps and soccer kicks.

Some of his notable bigger opponents

Igor Vovchanchyn
Guy Mezger
Mark Coleman
Jeremey Horn
Semmy Schilt
Shogun Rua
Ninja Rua
Gilbert Yvel
Dan Henderson

He also has some wins over some lesser known guys that are a weight class or two above him. Like I said Shoji lost a lot, but you got to give it to him for being able to go the distance with most of his bigger opponents.

Cerrone. No ifs, ands, or buts! The only way you take him out, is having Dana White put him on time out!

The American Gangster, Chael P. Sonnen will fight anyone, anytime, anywhere.

When everyone else shit their pants at the prospect of fighting Jones at his pre-USADA heyday, The Bad Guy was the ONLY guy in the UFC to step up and offer to take the fight.

Gotta say Sakuraba even if that is a predictable answer.

My god. What s lack of posts naming BJ there are here. The guy destroyed his legacy because of his "fight anyone" mentality.
I respected that..what helped destroy his legacy was his lack of motivation. But he's still a LW GOAT.

Also:

Many of those pudgy, realistically WW sized Japanese fuckers taking ridiculous size mismatches, because of 'Bushido', apparently.

Demetrious Johnson for putting his title streak and the record he's trying to steal from Anderson Silva on the line, and going balls-out by challenging TJ Dillash... oh wait !

K Sakuraba: Says fuck it, fights often with pure talent and experience while drinking and smoking his body to shit...

BJ Penn: "If you think you can kick his ass, he'll fight you in 2 seconds" - Dana White

Conor McGregor: Predicts the result and picks the round, takes fights on short notice against tough opponents.

Fedor Emelianenko: never showed an ounce of fear....fought heavyweights his entire career while he was a class or two lower sheesh.
Replace Conor with Big Nog and we are in agreement.

Henderson, BJ Penn and Sakuraba are my picks.

Cowboy - a real brawler, but what are did he do to deserve this. He fought at LW, when he cutted drastically weight. And now at WW. Yes, he has balls in interviews. OK.
Nick - also a real brawler, but it's not like he fought bigger guys. At least, I don't remember.

INB4 ZOMG Conor fought de world class boxer he has iron balls

I am pretty sure that 99% of sherdoggers would agree to being KOed by Floyd for those money.

ha, mcgregor. fought a journeymen on short notice, got whooped. fought chad, a great fighter in short notice, but not before he made sure the guy was coming out of a reality show with no cardio whatsoever

Even when he was old afhe was willing to fight top contenders
he's been the older fighter in probably most of his fights. giving up a decade and a half sometimes. He fought some good names in their primes or close to it.

Bj Penn - Didnt care who he fought and fought in an exciting manner . Wouldve fought anyone regardless of size and time.

Fabio Maldonado - That Stipe fight

Yuki Nakai - Fought the legend in Rickson qfter having his eye gouged and left permanently blind on his eye.

Jeremy Horn - Wouldve fought anyone and took a lot of damage in many fights and still kept fighting. One of the underrated goat chins.

Tim Elliot talked a ton of hard cold truths and crazy shit to some pissed off, drunk, 170 lb ready to fight- TUF competitors and stood his ground when they swarmed him. that was balsy

But that fight didn't happen right away, thought they did TUF first.

Mousasi by far.

The guy wanted to fight DC on 1 day notice.
Also stepped against Rumble on short notice but Crumble bitched.

He is a solid 185er and has fought at heavyweight.

Also fought at K-1 rules against very very solid HW opposition. And won.

Indeed. I forgot about Moose.

Moose is 32 years old and has a a record of 50 fights. 42 wins, 6 losses, 2 draws.

He fought a lot in UFC, Pride, Dream, Dynamite and Strikeforce.

He fought many HW. He has wins over guys like Hunt, Sobral, Manhoef, Souza, Goodrige, Henderson, Belfort, Weidman, O'Brien, Lombard, Thales Leites. He fought Machida.

He has 8 wins and no losses in kickboxing. He won over Musashi and Kyotaro Fujimoto.

He was amateur boxing champion in Netherlands.

He had an exhibition fight with Fedor.

By far, the most underrated fighter. Good job, Dana!

MENTIONS: never caught with PEDs, never missed weight.
