Who had a bigger fall from grace? Ben Askren or CM Punk?

Punk would wrestlefuck Askren to a UD

Cm punk never had a Grace to fall from in the beginning

to have a fall from grace, you have to have gone somewhere first. punk doesn't qualify.

CM Punk was never KO'd in his UFC career.
Punk > Askren.

You do understand that amateur wrestling > professional wrestling, right?

Ben dominated in other MMA promotions, came out of retirement, and beat a very game ex-champ, then lost in a bit of a flukey fashion to an excellent striker, and then was out grappled by a guy who outgrapples everyone who has tried to grapple with him.

He didn't fall that far. The KO was a bit embarrassing because it happened so fast and was spectacular, but he was fighting top-notch competition, after being retired.

CM Punk didn' t fall very far, but he was starting from way below where Askren fell to.

Kind of a phony question, as Ben didn't fall that far, and CM Punk was never in a position where he could fall far.

CM Punk was never in grace, how could he fall from it?

So the answer is Askren

CM Punk never had grace to fall from.

CM PUNK won a fictional belt and climbed to the top of professional wrestling. Given Brock Lesnar's successes, people naturally thought CM Punk would make an easy transition to MMA, utilizing his athleticism, and wrestling pedigree.

Yet, after two fights, the president of the UFC, Dana White, said this - "It should be a wrap. The guy’s 39 years old. I love the guy. He’s the nicest guy in the world. We gave him two shots, and he had a lot of heart tonight in this fight, and yeah, I think he should call it a wrap.”

When a man that would sell EVERYTHING he has for just a little bit more, says you should hang it up, instead of make more money for him, then you know you are in the shitter.

Then you had Ben Askren. Similar wrestling pedigree albeit it was amateur, not professional. Similar hype. People touted him as the greatest wrestler in MMA. Better than Jones, DC, or Khabib. Me, and a few others in this forum knew the truth. He was a big fish in a small pond. The man NEVER fought in the UFC. The UFC is the big leagues, and simply put, if you are a champion in another company, it doesn't matter, because the lowest ranked fighter from the UFC, has a 50/50 shot against any champ in their respective division.

So when Ben Askren, decided to transition to a real fight league, all bets were off. He got sent to a brief coma vs Lawler, but due to his autism he was able to wake up. Next was Jorge Masdvial, who isn't a top 15 in his division. He got knocked out by Masdival, making an amateur mistake. Next he fought Maia. A man who is a ground specialist. What does Askren do? Go to the ground. He should have spent his entire camp striking and he could have won.

All in all, who had the worst fall? Thousands of CM punk fans were CRUSHED he didn't live up to the hype. Ten's, perhaps 20s of Askrens fans had a similar ordeal. Which one was worse?
CM Punk never had a peak to fall from.

Lol c’mon...Ben didn’t have a “fall from grace”. He just got his ass ktfo. Newsflash: it happens in MMA. That’s not falling from grace. The man had a fulfilling career, made a lot of money and I’d bet he probably invests his money wisely. Now he wants to take his popularity and help make a positive impact on the younger generation of wrestlers. If that’s “falling from grace” then I can only pray that one day I’ll be lucky enough to “fall from grace”.

Falling from grace is when you get ktfo...then go on a bunch of losing streaks, get arrested with a tranny coke dealer, go into rehab, get out, relapse, go back to jail, rinse and repeat.

You make it sound like Punk had something to fall from to begin with.

He didn't. He's an MMA joke, nothing more.
