Who does Trump pick as VP?

He insulted every person on the main stage during the primary. It's not exactly new to primaries but I don't think they are factoring in much what was said during the primary. On that logic, Hillary couldn't pick Bernie cause he said she isn't fit to be president.
 
Seems there's some mixed signals:

"A senior Trump campaign source said Wednesday that the campaign's early favorites for vice president are now New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez, South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley and Sen. Rob Portman of Ohio."

Some are already taking themselves out of the running: A spokesman for Portman said the senator, who is in the midst of an intense Senate reelection campaign, is "not interested."
"He's focused on his own race," said Kevin Smith, his spokesman.

And Haley said her "plate is full."

"I have great respect for the will of the people, and as I have always said, I will support the Republican nominee for president," she said in a statement. "While I am flattered to be mentioned and proud of what that says about the great things going on in South Carolina, my plate is full and I am not interested in serving as vice president."
Trump said at an event Thursday that Haley was never under consideration.

A spokesman for Martinez also said she wasn't interested.

Trump has said he wants a statesman as his VP. Someone that knows his way around Washington.

There's also whispers he wants a Governor.

But, my gut feeling, is he knows about his low poll numbers with women. It wouldn't be surprising at all if he picks a long-time governor or senator of a battleground state, who happens to be a woman.

Well, taking a look, here are the current sitting female governors in the US now:

Mary Fallin (R-OK) 2011-present
Nikki Haley (R-SC) 2011-present
Susana Martinez (R-NM) 2011-present

Haley and Martinez have both ruled themselves out of being Trump's VP.

Fallin said she is "100% behind Trump" but she seems like a bozo and a lousy pick.

There's former Governor Jan Brewer (R-AZ) 2009-2015 (Elected as secretary of state, succeeded governor who resigned). She's also currently supporting Trump, but her face looks like the Crypt Keeper on Spring Break.

Let's move on to female senators.

A strong possibility is Sen. Susan Collins of Maine. She's pledged to support Trump (conditionally, anyway), and didn't rule out being his VP.

She's a strong maybe right now.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's one of his elder kids. All of them seem like very intelligent young professionals and are already raised to step in should anything happen to him. I think he's gonna break some more norms here.
 
Grimace probably has the inside track.



If nothing else, he'll really help Trump with a key voting demographic: large, purple anthropomorphic beings of indeterminate species with short arms and legs.

I think Carson is a likely decision cause he's one of the people willing to do it and has some contrast to trump

Agreed, a lot of republicans who hate Trump like Carson, would be a good VP choice imo
 
I could see Carson getting savage mercilessly in the VP debate.

Trump denounced David Duke like a decade ago. Anyone taking the KKK connection seriously is just looking for reasons to hate on him.
 
Haley or Kasich are the choices that really stand out to me. That being said, I wouldn't bat an eye at Dog the Bounty Hunter. There's half your illegal cleanup taskforce right there.

And now he's pretending he has no idea who Duke is or what the group he belongs to stands for.

Do you think that's honest?
Do you think that's admirable?
Or do you think he deserves to be criticized and made fun of for such an obvious contradiction?

lol. I think you deserve to be made fun of for such an obvious perversion of the truth. There's room to criticise the (very) short-lived situation without resorting to bullshit.
I mean, he disavowed DD a decade or more ago, he disavowed him 3 days before stumbling on the question, and he continued to disavow him shortly after the stumble.
