Who do you consider more talented, Gane or Wonderboy?

He's been with Khamzat for over a year and still can't stop a sloppy takedown.
That shows a lack of work ethic, and mental defeatism like you said.

He thought he was way better than he is and he realizes that amount of work he needs to evolve.
He would just rather be the party boy, and the jokester rather than taking it serious.

His wrestling is truly abysmal. For some reason, bully type fighters have a propensity to fold under pressure.

It's because they know their limitations sir.
They know once it gets beyond a certain point they're done...so they mentally quit instead of fighting through it.

They seem to have a very similar style in MMA. Both switch hitters and rely heavily on point-fighting background (?). The hands down, little-to-no head movement style they have has both advantages and flaws.

Wonderboy seems to get hit more often because competition in WW is more stacked than HW. Both had shots at the title but failed.

Wonderboy, BUT it is berry impressive for a guy Gane's size to move the way he does

Gane doesn't beg to not fight well-rounded mixed martial artists.
That was WB’s story when he asked for Holland. Then he beats a favorable stylistic matchup and he’s talking about making another run. Nbd, but worth mentioning.

WB is skilled due to training since he was a child, I think he started as early as 3 and had a Karate master for a father. Gane on the other hand started training at the age of 24 and has striking abilities that outclass the rest of his weight class and looks like he's been doing this all his life. The fact that he can kick so fluidly despite starting at such an old age is a testament to his athletic ability and natural talent. Guys who start in their mid 20s don't move like Gane and can't even kick pads correctly.

true. But it’s not like he came off the couch. He played soccer and basketball his whole life. So kicking dexterity could be a lot easier for him considering he was a skilled soccer player.

on a side note, I had a friend in my early twenties who asked this soccer player to give him a leg kick cause he wanted to see how it felt. This soccer guy was another friend and had never trained mma in his life. Meanwhile my other friend had been doing kickboxing for 2 years. The soccer guy gave him two leg kicks and my friend could barely walk the next day.

Wonderboy is more polished and more skilled in his style of fighting. I think Gane is more talented overall. I think Gane has for example a much better chance to develop and adapt effective forms of grappling to his game, than Thompson has, IMO. Though It's always hard to compare fighters that are a lot apart in weight divisions.

I have heard that soccer players can deliver some mean low kicks. That being said it would be tough for them to kick high since it's a completely foreign concept. I'm aware that Gane did have an athletic background, but even then it's not everyday that someone is able to pick up fighting techniques and look so natural doing it.

Wonderboy is a better striker in my opinion. He is more diverse, is quicker, has better timing, and is very strategic and sneaky. Gane is good because he is very technical for heavyweight, and is more athletic than most fighters in th class.

Gane is doing what Wonderboy does but with a 250 lbs frame.

Plus Gane can dance very well. Not sure if Wonderboy can.

Gane is way more talented.
He's a 6'5 245 lbs athletic freak who does not even like MMA that much or train that hard but his talent makes him a top 5 in his weight class. Just a naturally unfairly gifted fighter and athlete.

Wonderboy is just an amazing striker who's been training striking techniques for 30 years.
