Who could have defeated "World War Hulk" here?

scarlet witch in the strange movie being a good example. she's probably many tiers weaker than the strongest in the universe but when she started obliterating characters like mr fantastic or professor x with the snap of her fingers or her mind, it became really silly. how does marvel balance out the strongest champs? are their powers contained when they fight each other so their stories can go on?
Powers just change to match whatever story they want to tell. Versions of characters change often too, with their power set changing. Hulk for example has been at many different power levels over the years. Anywhere from not even bullet proof to practically invincible. A genius or an idiot, etc.

This is awesome. My goodness.

And we ended up with pussyboy ruffallo professor hulk.
One of my favorite scenes in Collateral is when he gets abruptly popped in the head by Tom Cruise right as he had finally found Jamie Foxx and was trying to help rescue him.

"Sun got real low there, huh little guy?"

do we need to watch any of the phase 5 stuff to be ready for the doom movie? i missed a ton of shows from phase 4 too.
Even if there's a call back that youre unaware of, they usually tend to emphasize those moments, even the briefest of single frame shots, in some manner or other.

Thor's subtle panic when Cap budges the hammer barely even a slight bit, and then in endgame when he finally picks it up, thor says "I knew it" is an example of this.
And honestly, it's a well executed one as well bc even if you didn't see Ultron at all, you'd be able to deduce that Cap being worthy had been foreshadowed previously. Its the kinda callback that might interest me enough to eventually watch Ultron and appreciate it despite seeing it way out of order after the fact.

Besides, phase 5 was doomed to shit the bed from the go imo

"Multiverses mean that death isn't permanent (except for Stark and Aunt May)"
"Who are all these micky mouse club house looking D-Listers, and why are they all getting their own miniseries?"
"He's still the fucking falcon, idk who they think they're fooling. Feel bad for Anthony Mackey honestly."
"They had to flat out bail on making a new blade movie? That's unfortunate, but we got a girl hulk that could twerk!"

I think you could argue that the wheels were starting to wobble pretty hard in Endgame imo. S:NWH has been the only highlight since imo

those reasons are why i passed on most of that nonsense.

agreed that it started with endgame. good closing, but nothing like IW, which made audiences feel like there was real stakes.

Nothing good lasts forever but that first arc from the heroes debuting through Infinite war was such damn fine work I can't be mad. It's more good superhero movies starring some of my favorite characters than I thought I'd get in a lifetime. The Bloat just caught them eventually. It swallows up every ip from gaming to movies that lasts long enough. Too many cooks in the kitchen looking to maximize revenue and churn out bland shit designed to be accessible to everyone so it moves no one.

But Infinite war matched the expectations of my inner 8 year old that read the comics growing up. Maybe even exceeded them. That's the real ending point of the MCU for me the rest is filler after that.

Deadpool Juggy was best Juggy
He was so nerf'd to hell it's not even funny (DP2). In D&W it was Juggernaut-in-name-only. That shit was absolutely abhorrent the way they treated him in that one. Literally getting sliced up like some petty street thug. Holy shit.
<DisgustingHHH>

In terms of the movies, I'm wondering if XMEN 3 Juggernaut is the best film Juggernaut. Aside from the really stupid scene where he gets his powers drained, he otherwise was damn near invulnerable. As he should be.

Pretty much. Phase 5 is nothing compared to how much I loathe every Terminator movie after Judgment day though

Glad for any of those returning actors to get the chance to bank another Terminator paycheck, thats it though.

A human loses herself and almost becomes a terminator, a terminator learns to be human, a young John Connor is successfully protected and in the end, there's hope for a brighter future.

He gives the 👍 as he melts, close on a shot of the open road as the credits roll______

No one had any business trying to add to it, no one will ever have any business changing it.

There's nothing they wouldn't try to fuck until it collapses entirely

I saw that piece of crap Genysis in the theater and I was with people or I would have walked out 100%

A few years later I saw Alien Covenant and that was just as bad. Two terminator movies and two alien movies, that's fucking it as far as I'm concerned at this point lmao.

He beat everyone, Thor included and fought Sentry to a standstill later becoming world breaker hulk. He would've beaten him aswell.

In that incarnation probably only galaxy level threats. He was written to be fucking angry like never before after being banned from earth and losing his wife on sakaar.

Yea, I loved that story...

That's awesome stuff for my kids-nerd heart. I tried to get into newer Hulk comics like the one with the green door and the one below all. Smashing the whole universe was tempting but it didnt catch my interest in the end. Same with that new immortal Hulk stuff, where he is supposed to be extremely overpowered aswell but again for mumbo jumbo reasons.

WWH stands on the top with no challenger in sight.

Have you read Future Imperfect? Maestro is the Evil Hulk, and he's fucking awesome.

Honourable mention for Banner/Hulk in Old Man Logan, who's incredibly creepy.

I haven't and since I'm still on a 10 week sick leave cause I fucked up my hand badly I appreciate this very much.

I'll read it in a heartbeat.

I just remembered the King Thanos arc where he made Hulk his pet and eat Captain America.

It was the wrong thing to write...

I just read it. What a sad end. He didn't even met God Emperor Doom.

Fucking Maestro. Now I'm angry, haha.
