Media Who can find the quote?

People speculating it's this:

Jones is so insecure and (easily) triggered that he legit took Stipe saying that Stipe doesn't want Stipe's kids to think that their dad (Stipe) is an asshole for talking trash. . . and literally projected it onto himself as a personal insult. SMH

On the one hand, I don't care about this fight and don't think it's important at all. . . . and on the other hand, Jones getting humbled in the twilight of his career by an actual good person who's already retired. . . [chef's kiss]

It’s so ironic one of the best fighters in the world is so incredibly insecure.
I don't think it's so ironic. It can be cause and effect, even. Someone who's insecure might strive to be better in some aspect, to try and feel more secure, but can never be satisfied so they always end up striving further, harder until they're the best or most successful in their field. Except even then it doesn't quiet the gnawing rat of doubt.

I almost — almost — feel pity for Jones even if he wins this fight. Jon may get the belt but it's Stipe who won the happy life.

The video that has Jon Jones so up in arms about Stipe.

Apologies if this has already been shared in one of the other 37 billion Stipe/JJ threads. I'm lazy and don't feel like reading/searching.

Don’t believe a word Jon says. Your fight record has more credibility ffs.

I bet the parts before and after that clip would really fill in the blanks.

OK I've found the point in the interview, it's timestamped, so you can judge yourself.

The topics before started with the interviewers stirring up Jones shit. Cohost asks if Stipe if he thought Jon was faking the pec injury, Stipe having to go "no..maybe..I wasn't there at the time how do I know" stuff. Rampage talks about how Jon had a spy in his camp and Stipe comments "that's fucking shitty I guess if you ain't cheating you ain't trying, but.." Then Rampage asks if Stipe will be the first fight after Jon comes back. Then, do you think you get enough respect, which leads into the quote in question.

I...guess Jon could think his name was still in the air and therefore on Stipe's mind? But it's a damn far reach.

Maybe we should just be relieved that Jon didn't think the joke of ordering "cream of Some Young Guy" (which opens the whole thing) was meant for him.
