I agree they have every right to exist, protest, march etc. The opposition side has every right to counter protest though. I don't know who threw the first punches and likely, from what I've seen, both sides are at fault for the escalation from non-violence to violence. I can't place the blame on the "left", I have to afford both sides the same rights.

Even those most offended by the white supremacist rally should be grateful that the left-of-center American Civil Liberties Union legally defended it, and that, among others, honorable African-American police officers protected the “alt-right” bigots.

Most Americas would probably disagree. There is an anti-immigration rally coming soon to my hometown and there is a huge effort to shut it down. It's being labeled a hate rally that will incite violence and should therefore be banned. So of course the left is preparing a peaceful counter-protest.

Because we now have people like Bannon, Gorka, and Miller working for the president, who is now careful not to offend white supremacists because they say nice things about him and are a key part of his constituency, and his worldview doesn't go any deeper than that.

As of 2016, Right wing domestic terrorism has killed 68 people since 2001. So I guess that number is 69 now.

Why should whites feel threatened if they are minorities in the say California? Are whites only supposed to have white girlfriends? I really don't get your post. What is the underlying thing behind white identity ideology?

Although I find them to be pathetic and hateful personally, they most certainly have a right to exist. They also have a right to demonstrate as they attempted to do so. They have the right to hate people if that's their view and express that opinion.

Now the fact that they are detestable does not give anyone the right to assault them. They had the right and permission to be where they were, the left did not. The minute a blm or antifa maced someone, or threw something at someone, or attacked them in anyway, they have every right to defend themselves. That's the right of every American and you don't check those rights at the door because you are protesting.

If the left didn't show up heavily armed to counter protest I'm convinced nobody would have been harmed. The left was the catalyst. They provoke. .. they assault. .. they blockade. ... and now they are playing the victim.

I hope it goes with out saying that I'm not including the murderous psycho who mowed people down. I'm talking about all the violent clashes prior to that event.
