White Streak in Beard Conundrum...

So I have a condition called alopecia aratea, which essentially means sometimes I get random bald spots on my body or white patches. For me it is extremely minor and only manifests as small, occasional bald spots in my beard. I'm normally clean shaven and have been for a decade.

I recently grew out my beard again and have a massive, perfectly straight white streak under my chin. I'm getting tons of shit because everyone thinks I dyed it snow white (there is no grey or white anywhere else). The issue is that I promised myself I would never dye my hair, get hair plugs if it became necessary, etc.

Thoughts on fresh repartees? "My BF left a load there that stained it" has already been used a couple of times, just to forewarn you unoriginal Mayberrians.

I work in Business Development. Even though I live in SF with all the weirdos, I work for a general contractor, which means I'm in a conservative field and can't look like all of them.

As far as my friends go, I don't. I think I'm comfortable in my own skin.

Is it cool looking? Leave it.
I started to get more grey in my beard and it didn't look cool or punky.
Briefly considered dyeing it but just shaved it off.

Either shave the beard or embrace it. Dudes who dye their hair or do the combover/hairplugs thing to cover bald spots come off as really insecurre. Either if you shave the beard or leave the white spot you need to accept it as part of you now. If it's really bothering you and you've made a pact to never dye your hair then you have to accept the fact that you can't have a beard anymore. You were clean shaven for a long time before the beard so its not like the beard is something you've always had, just go back to a clean face again. Don't grow a beard just everyone else is doing so.

Rock the shit out of that white streak. That alopecia is no joke. My friend is dealing with it now. His hair fell out insanely fast in big spots on his head. Now when it grows back, it's either white, brown, or clear. He's a mess, but his hat collection is massive.
