Rewatch Remembering an oldie but goldie...

Robbie was always a treat to watch. This was before it seemed like he hit a bit of a slump before he resigned with the UFC and got a career resurgence.

to this day this fight makes me rage. brawlers actually were getting the better off "technical" strikers back then (also Diaz vs Daley and Big Foot vs Overeem later on).

so Manhoef was never that good?

One of the best to ever do it imo.

One of the greatest comeback stories in MMA history too. Went from being a top prospect to people thinking he'd tanked out as a bloated MW looking for a pay cheque. To then regain traction at 170, get back into the UFC and win gold? Unreal!

War Robbie!

One of the best 1 rd fights of all time !

Might as well post this while we're at it

Lindland shit his pants and lost about 8 years from his lifespan from this starching. Ruthless! What an awesome combo.

LOL @ Robbie looking like an honorary Dagestani here. Forgot about that beard

Jesus christ what a combination. It looks like a video game. Completely forgot about that KO.

Unpopular opinion perhaps but later in his career I didn't enjoy Lawler's fight too much because he was "bobbing and weaving" too much while going forward and doing nothing until he turned it up later in the fight and often then it stared to be interesting.
So if someone has a KO or a brawl in the 5th but for the first 3 or 4 rounds the fight stinks a bit that doesn't get me too excited to watch another fight like that, but that's just me.
Not saying he had all fights like that but that's my recollection of being just frustrated with his inactivity, bobbing and weaving is cool if you do something with it.
