No one was as feared as Anderson Silva in his prime. If you weren’t there to see it from the beginning to the end, there is just no way to fully grasp or understand it no matter what history you’ve read or heard, or what highlights you’ve seen. Nothing has since been comparable.

For years, both Jon Jones and GSP while in their primes, pre USADA, did not want to fight him at all. There used to be talks about Anderson VS Fedor when he was still the force that he once was.

Not to take away anything from Izzy as a fighter, but his whole gimmick and act was pretty lame and unoriginal if we’re being honest. I mean sure I can see how it would appeal some high school kids or anime geeks, but to me the guy just comes across, as an insecure try hard.

Its weird how Jon Jones doesnt really carry much of an aura even though hes never lost. Despite that, his aura still doesnt come close to Anderson and Fedor in their prime. I think its because he lacks the mystique and crazy finishing ability of those guys.

for me it is Andy, he made pro fighters look like bums off the street, especially the Forrest fight where he went up in weight, if it weren't for him being boys with Machida, no doubt in my mind he could of snagged that 205 belt until Jones came around, prior to the first Sonnen fight, he barely ever got hit and then I think it was in round 3-4, Rogan said that he's gotten hit more times in this fight than any other UFC fight combined

Easily. Would say nobody else comes close, what he had before Weidman was pretty magical. He even managed to turn even the asshattery of Maia fight and the last second hail mary vs. Sonnen to his benefit somehow and both just added to his mythical status.
