Which is the better choice - fight or flight?

Probably flight.

I'm more careful when it comes to these situations now but I once tried to intervene.

A few years ago I saw an older gentlemen getting beat up by a big dude. I ran and shouted "hey get away from him" hoping that would scare him. He turns around and looks me dead in the eye and says "walk away now bitch", in hindsight that would have been the smart thing to do. But I said to him "you leave him alone mister", this got him angry and he came at me and fired off a 1-2 combo, the next thing I remember was waking up with a crowd of people asking if I was alright. After he dropped me he stole my wallet and ran off, the cops arrived on the scene and handed me back my wallet. They told me that after he ran off, he ran into Nicolas Cage who took care of business and the guy is now in jail.

Flight

People are too crazy now a days. Even a small disagreement or argument can end in someone's life being taken.

There are some situations where you need to fight but for the most part it's not worth going to the hospital, jail, being sued, or winding up dead.

Words of wisdom, lloyd. Words of wisdom.

Flight 100%

I've won fights where I wished I had not engaged.

You should always avoid fighting if you can. There are just too many things that can happen.

Even when you win, someone wI’ll want revenge, so you’ll constantly have to be looking over your shoulder.

This is a lesson I learned the hard way.

It depends, but usually flight. I'm pretty confident that I could take most people in a fight, but there's no telling if someone's going to pull a knife or a gun, in which case I'm probably fucked. Also, there's the possibility that I could accidentally kill someone (like, say I knock someone out and they hit their head on the way down), and now I'm facing manslaughter charges. I mean, better tried by 12 than carried by 6, but I'd really rather avoid either scenario.
