Movies Which is better: Dredd (2012) vs Logan

Dredd was much more enjoyable. Logan had a far greater emotional impact.

Dredd has the replay value and it looks and sounds even better now that we have all these crazy 4k-8k oled tvs. They should have made the logan sequel immediately with the actress that played his daughter she did a good job.

Dredd came out during the wrong time. There is too much lore behind it. It probably would have been a fun netflix type series if they had more time to build the world more. Logan was good because it was a sendoff for a character. We saw him play this character for many films already.

Dredd was a lot more faithful to 2000AD but I agree it could've been a good Netflix series.

Dredd was so poorly promoted I didnt even know it was in theaters and I used to go to the theater twice a month back then.

I watched it a week after it released. There were about six people in the audience, including me. I knew then it was going to flop, in spite of being one of the best comic book adaptions ever made.

Logan was way overrated. The pacing of Logan wasn’t that great, and many aspects of it fairy forgettable and not very watchable.

Dredd had excellent pacing and has infinitely higher replay value. The climax of Logan also sucked.

Old man logan is probably a goat/literature prize comic work..

Unfortunately the film is very good but not close to the comic.. (which is not even a stab at the movie)..

Dredd is pretty much the other way around..

Still haven't seen dredd. I can't get past the silly helmet. I get that it's accurate to the comics but it only looks good on a comic character's head.

On a real person's head it needs to be modified.

The Stallone movie wasn't good but I will say his helmet looked better.

Urban can't even see.

Stallone's looks like it could actually work

In Dredd the helmet did bother me especially the visor placement they selected. Obviously the small visor would hinder a person's sight. Fun movie otherwise

I actually really liked both but I have to pick Dredd here. My second favorite action flick behind only Fury Road.

extremely underrated and it’s a shame we didn’t get more from this world with this level of quality and craft. And big props to Urban for keeping the helm on.

I like both but I think I’ll go with Logan. Dredd was great but sometimes it came across as a movie that expected me to know the lore that I just didn’t know. Very close though.

I can't speak for everyone else, but to me, it was like a sappy Hallmark card of a movie in "Wolverine" form, that just checked the "emotional connection" boxes. I knew how it was going to play out, before I watched it. Broken down old gruff man and a kid...you know where this is going.
