I cannot get in to details as I read it like 2 yrs ago so specifics are not gonna happen.

He ends up fighting with Satan and initially gets the better of him but then Satan goes in to "full form" mode and kicks the living shit outta him.

Under - he is like supreme power (in terms of evil).

I'm trying to remember but from what i recall - Satan had not been seen in 1000s of years and Pinhead wanted to have control of the earth and I think he needed Satan's help.

I do recall Pinhead laying waste to all the Elder Cenobites at one point because they tried to stop him.

In all honesty, it was not a very good book but I was curious when I read the summary. It felt rushed and the work of a lesser novelist.

I also think that when pinhead killed the Elder Cenobites that he took their power and that was how he was able to hand Satan for a bit.

Unfortunately, I put the book in a bag of stuff I gave to goodwill last year so I cannot go back and skim.

I thought they were going to go down the wrong turn route and spam a bunch of sequels with a completely different tone from the first.

I'm glad they didn't. The second isn't as good as the first but I enjoyed it.
