I am heavier (fatter) than I was the same time last year and the biggest difference last year was that I was vegan. But also in general I ate healthier meals but I don't think my overall sugar intake is different. I also ate a lot more in general because the vegan diet made me hungry all the time. I drank and still drink soda, I snacked more on sweets last year, and I drank beer more often than now (quit drinking), and my activity was about the same as now. I am now about 10lbs heavier and eat a lot more meat while eating less veggies.Don't you work out though? So you 'earn' your sugar and carbs. Most people are sedentary so their body doesn't need the extra energy they're cramming into it
I don't think it's the vegan diet per se, but rather the fact that I was eating more veggies because I wasn't getting those calories I would get from meat. I'm thinking I should go back to that and reduce my meat consumption.
