Which fighters have you found yourself emotionally invested in????

Imagine being emotionally invested with someone that doesn't even know who you are, lol.

Imagine being too afraid to go all in on a fighter/fight cos you can't handle the crippling depression of watching your boy get starched out and taken to the back on a stretcher.

Cowards.

ever since crocop got koed by gonzaga. none. my feelings cant handle that again

At this point? Aldo. Don't really have the time to get super invested in fighters anymore.

Lawler, Poatan, Pettis, Oliveira.

In a lesser degree: Dos Santos, Jones, Werdum, Khabib, TJ

Machida and I once briefly shared a spirit link or some manner of soul bond like Kenshio and Lin from Fist of the north star.

When Machida got chocked out by Jones in Toronto (Physically Close enough for me to astral project to him or w/e) Moments before I had a panic and told my friends I couldn't breath, They brought me to lie down on the couch, when I woke up, Machida was also waking up and the fight was over.

True Story.

And yes, I was high.

I always play the stoic silent guy watching fights. I doesnt always work though.

Du Bronx's fights always give me some crazy adrenaline dump that my hands even shake, dude's always getting rocked or something crazy happen that I cant keep a straight face.

We all have 'em.
Fighter's we feel connected to for one reason or another.
Who are some of yours and why?

For me early on it was Randy. He just seemed to represent all that was "good" in the early 2000's.
Fedor seemed indestructible for a moment and I got caught up in the hysteria. Watching him lose to Werdum and Silva was devastating
Cain's demeanor and the fact that he smashed big boy Brock (who I hated) made me a fan for life. Another Werdum loss that was heartbreaking.
Conor. I know, I know. He turned into a huge shitbag. There was a moment in time tho (2014-2018) when I was a true believer. What happened to that guy????

I think I might partially be a sociopath because I never feel any real emotions when fighters that I like lose. It's just like "welp that sucks hope they can get a win next time"

Sammy Schilt, Overeem, Gilbert Yvel, Fedor, Remy Bonjasky, Chuck Liddell.

emotional, none I guess. Been watching MMA for far too long and there are so many fighters I appreciate, from multiple countries. Nationalism also got lost on the way, good fights >>>> everything.

I wont deny I was pretty happy in some ocassions tho, especially when nailing my bets. 115k profits on Poatan TKO victory over Izzy exactly in Round5 being my last great piece, but Im done with bets now. Big hit on Ank x Poatan (my bet was Poatan by UD).

I am French Canadian so GSP. Then Khabib during the Conor buildup as I really felt bad for Khabib having to hear all that filth.

He's not a fighter for the faint of heart!

recently I got pretty down with Strickland losing two times to Dricus; Poirier and Moicano losing to Islam and Poatan losing to Ankalaev

but I also got pretty high with the last 3 Jean Silva's fights, the 3 Ruffy's fight, last 2 Pantoja's fight, last two Jiri's wins and the last Aspinall fight

that's what I remembered typing right now
