which fictional character is best suited to be your significant other?

Laney from She's all that. Shy, nerdy but secretly Boise dime after she takes off her glasses.

While not a fictional character, I think singer/songwriter Sarah McLachlan would be my ideal match:

Beautiful, talented, loves animals and already has history of dating brown guys. She checks all the boxes.

Sassy little southern country girl that had her man’s back but also didn’t put up with his shit. She pushed him to be the best version of himself

Selene from Underworld

Doesn’t age so she’ll always look like that and you peace and quiet all day.
I had selected a leather clad, two-pistol wielding Selene at first, but had to rethink 'cuz of the whole "best suited" thing. She is a death-dealing creature of the night and I wield my dad-bod almost exclusively during the day. In my defense, I am a dad and I have to get up early.......

Agree. They are just as bad.

The dudes posting Precious and Buffalo Bill are the honest ones

The guy who started the thread used Scully, Gillan Anderson was voted sexiest woman alive in those days.

Acid Burn and I would run some righteous hacks, I would get root access in her kernel and she would jack in and make my mainframe her bitch.

Hmmm.. Great question and I would say Erin or Karen from the Office.

Of course I've always had an unhealthy attraction to Jenny's from Forrest Gump or Ava's from Justified.

Those "sexiest person" alive titles were ridiculous. Obviously I think she is very attractive, but there is nothing about her character in that show that makes me think I couldn't have pulled her. However, I don't think Salma Hayek in from dusk till dawn would have wanted to go on a date with me

Raylan’s wife from Justified. She just gets disappointed and never loses her shit.

Trying to be realistic while also still being aspirational...

-Lori Loughlin's Becky from Full House. Hot, nice, supportive, has a career she's passionate about. Seems like a great person who'd make a great partner.

-Fran Drescher's Fran Fine from The Nanny. For the entire '90s, her voice was a punchline, but it doesn't bother me. And I just love this character, sexy as hell but also lovable with a huge heart of gold, very funny, and very sweet.

-Anne Heche's Dr. Amy Barnes from Volcano. Weird pick, but I've been in love with her in this movie since I was a kid. Smart as hell, funny, just a ton of personality, and not just pretty but strangely attractive to me in an unquantifiable way.

-Karolina Wydra's Dominika Petrova from House. Just rewatched this recently and forgot how much I love her in this role. I first saw her in True Blood but it's this character that I like. Smart, funny, sexy...and I have a weakness for Euro girls.

-Emily Mortimer's Mackenzie McHale from The Newsroom. Such an endearing character, as smart and as tough as she is funny and loving.

Not who is the hottest, but as an overall package, who would be best suited to be your other half? So it has to be looks, personality, whatever. This is the character, not the real person. Bonus points for being realistic. I know its sherdog but salma hayek in from dusk till dawn doesn't want any of you

for me:

I am sue there might be a better one for me, but scully was a perfect combination of looks and intelligence which I appreciate

soon as I heard her speak with an English accent, I was hooked

Obi-Wan. Especially in the recent tv where he gets pretty dark and a bit more adult than the movies. He's also a Star Wars nerd. He's also a massive guitar nerd and is constantly looks wise compared to James Hetfield but with a better beard so there's that. We're also Californian and lived in The Bay Area for years so there's the Metalica connection.
