Which Asian countries have the most explosive, natural born fighters?

Now if only those Mongolians would get a some big MMA gyms going. Or better yet, fight in the UFC.

Go to Thailand and get into an argument with a Thai over cab fare or something stupid, and see how fast it goes from discussion to fist a cuffs. Thai's have a propensity for a short fuse and violence when things get intense, it's part of their culture, personally I think they are very passionate people and won't let you punk them out, fighting seems natural to them. I'm marred to a Thai and she will throw down in a second, it's kind of funny and entertaining TBH... My $.02 anyway.

Hmmm,,, I'm not in the view that Koreans are the toughest or best at all. They're just OK, but that's it. They are physically bigger than most Asians but lack the mental acuity in fights... Once the SouthEast Asians develop (like what Korea had a chance after WWII when the West gave them the tech and support, thus got richer and better/more diet/food) the size difference will be negated (like in 1-3 generations) and not talked about or cling upon, thus skill wise, I don't see them trumping the SE Asians.

I really don't see what some of you guys are talking about. Head to head in combat sports, I see the Koreans getting beat most of the time by Thais and even the Japanese.

Vietnamese are the most mentally tough and ready to scrap or planning to do dirty to you, but on the whole they're small and flimsy (the new generations are getting bigger though b/c of better/different diet) and if in a one on one fight they usually get crushed, even if two guys are the same size. However, they roam in packs and will usually come at you in numbers (often times with weapons).

Again, I would have to give it to the Thais and Burmese. They standout the most. Then the other Asians come behind, with perhaps the Cantonese Chinese in last place,,, so effeminate with their man purses lol.

I'm thinking maybe the propensity for violence comes from all the ethnic conflicts and intra/inter-Asian racism in that region, as there are hundreds of ethnic groups around SouthEast Asia. Often times (just before the 21st Century) different ethnic ppl couldn't even go to different areas where other ethnic ppl reside without being picked on or having to physically fight.

To other ethnic Asians in the surrounding area, Thais are mostly considered unscrupulous, untrustworthy and have propensity for criminal behaviors... ala Thai pirates/ppl robbing, raping, and murdering refugees of Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam during the late 70's and 80's all along the Mekong River and the Gulf of Thailand after the IndoChina conflicts/wars.

You seem to have some kind of obsession with asians and their explosiveness, or rather their lack of explosiveness and athleticism. You're on every thread about asians preaching about their physical inferiority in comparison to whites and blacks.

He's bitter that their hot girls go for some Asian math geek or scientist, instead of going for a fat loser like him.

If you're referring to their Muay Thai vs. San Shou matches, then it's not that the Chinese have created a style to counter Muay Thai, but rather, they created special rules where they allow for San Shou fighters to use throws, so the San Shou fighters have more chance to win on points with the takedowns instead of straight up striking exchanges.

Yes, I do see what you're saying about the Chinese modifying rules to help their fighters out against the Thais... But in recent years, the Chinese have fighters who straight up KO'd several top or decent Thai fighters. Watch that Zhang Kayin guy. He's pretty good. And he even beat John Wayne Parr.

The Chinese have taken up a strategy to box, or something similar to Dutch MT/kickboxing, so they can attack the Thais jaws where Thais are the most vulnerable since they don't protect their faces as much. The Chinese recognize that they can't beat the Thais in kicking and durability, so now they blitz the face/jaw instead. I'm not an expert in these arts vs arts, ala Sanshou vs MT, but I can definitely see that the Chinese have improved since the early days when they were getting folded left and right.

South Korea. They have a plethora of large, explosive Dongs.

Of the Asian countries the ones who produce the best fighters more often are probably phillipines and thailand pacquiao/ buakaw etc

Thais are obviously the best strikers. True fighting culture

Mongols are the biggest and strongest, traditions in grappling. Make up a lot of the best athletes in China and Japan.

Koreans probably best overall physical specimens, but kinda soft.

pinoys are meh.. barley even count as asians imo

Just curious, from your observation as MMA fans and fight fans, which Asian country in your opinion have the most explosive, natural born fighters?

I have been a long time fan of MMA, kickboxing, muay thai, san shou, and it has been my observation over the years that Thailand have the most explosive, natural born fighters out of all the other Asian countries.

Fighters can be taught techniques, but they cannot be taught explosiveness or how to have killer instinct. They either have it or they don't, in my opinion. And the Thais have it.

explosive? afghanistan. we just haven't had much time for sports.

On average or per capita, I would have to say the Thais followed by the Burmese. Is it because they are darker colored Asians? *shoulder shrug*. They do have good killer instincts though.

But then recently I have been watching Phillipino boxing highlights and their top guys are pretty damn explosive as well. Usually when I think of a Phillipino I think of a passive person (as their country is the only one to be conquered without much effort) who kowtows a lot to foreigners/westerners, hence changing their names and religiously converting over. To see them that aggressive and good in the fight game is surprising lol.

Going back to the Thais. Before they used to beat up the Chinese (and Japanese and Koreans with ease), but over the years the Chinese have developed a style to counter them... so not really sure anymore. Guess one should realize that a country with that many ppl eventually they will find a few top guys to represent, like that Zhang KaYin... Docile funny looking face and soft body, but good skills and power.

Filipinos are passive? I coulda swore they were the reason the U.S. adopted the 1911 .45 in the first place.

Ok well dont forget about Iran and Azerbaijan as they produce the most amazing wrestlers in the world.

Tjhialland produces the most fierce strikers.

Korean fighters are the biggest and strongest next to the russian fighters.

All of the Russian fighters particularly from the ural mountain region, ie dagestan are fucking savages there will be a lot of southern region Russian fighters in the ufc and bellator and wsof within the next 5 years.

Yeah, I have to agree with this. These two are truly world class fighters to come from Asia.

How dare you downplay Korea's economic rise from the ashes. Their recovery from the 1960s to the 1990s is nothing short of an absolute MIRACLE. Sure their was assistance but it wasn't much when you look back from whats been generated. You're talking about a country that was once ranked the poorest country in the world (1960s).

I would go look up the facts before spouting about stuff you have no idea of. Its never a good look.

I am from Burma (Myanmar). I can say from limited experience that the Thais are definitely the most hardened, explosive, and "alpha" if you will when it comes to conflict.

Northern Burmese people "Karen" peoples share a border with Thailand. They all seem to be incredibly strong for their size with lots of fast-twitch muscle fibers. When I was in high school one 160 lb dude and his 130 lb kid cousin who was a freshman beat dozens of huge American guys in arm wrestling challenges, a few of them wrestlers.

Fearless and always down to scrap. I can imagine how good they would be if they had formal training.
