Length is probably the most important attribute. It’s usually what decides the weight class you’re in. You do not want to be the shortest stockiest guy in the division.

The best guys in the division are usually the taller lankier fighters.
except thats not true at all.

slightly outdated gallery of champions, yet the point remains. Aside from Conor and Woodley, every recent champion is average or below average reach (Holloway, Garbrandt and Khabib having exceptionally short arms). We saw what t-rex armed Stipe did to the gorilla reach of Ngannou. The one truly successful long range bomber in mma was Jon Jones.

Large balls
You can effectively cancel
Any threat to inside thigh kicks, you can get a break whenever you want by acting like each shot hits your cup!

LMFAO...This guy doesn't lift.

Plenty of people have naturally big legs, yet they can't squat worth shit.

Yet there is small leg people who can squat way more....Aesthetics don't equal strength.
nah, you're the one who doesnt lift. Everyone who can squat a good amount has big muscular legs and that's a fact.
Even elite 130 lbers have huge relatively huge quads:

It's the most crucial aspect of a strong lifter. Now that doesnt mean someone can't be strong with skinny legs (they are compensating with a strong core or back)- but you can't squat elite weights without the mass, regardless of weight class. Even guys with freakish slenderman physiques like Cailer Woolam have huge quads.

<Huh2>

I'd guess that all the parts of the body are helpful. Plus normally functioning systems.

Jones is one guy among many lanky fucks who don't succeed In mma.
Look at the champions of each weight class historically having a larger reach than average for your division is not a trend.
Every champion in the UFC except stipe is under 6ft

Jon isn’t one guy and it is a trend. Every champion now maybe but your po

Stipe is a good sized heavyweight.

Jon is obviously lanky as fuck

Anderson ruled middleweight for years

GSP has a disproportionately long reach for his height. Tyron isn’t that tall but has long reach.

Connor had a longer reach than Eddie Alvarez and is lanky as fuck.
except thats not true at all.

Except Stipe has an 80 inch reach which is good for the division.

Jon is the real LHW champion.

Anderson dominated middleweight for years and was similar in frame to LHWs.

GSP dominated at WW with a disproportionately long reach for his height. He was even longer than Bisping.

Conor is tall and lanky for the weight class. He dwarfed almost everyone at FW and was taller and longer than RDA and Alvarez.

Who did he struggle with? Diaz’s Gumby ass.

LMFAO @ you picking the most elite deadlifters for their weight class.

Bro, I see bodybuilders with bigger legs than both of them,,,they can't deadlift or squat anything close to a powerlifter....So my point is correct, leg size doesn't = Strength.

Dr.Deadlifts legs aren't that big bro....I see fucking gymbros with same size legs as him or even bigger yet they can't lift 900lbs.

maxresdefault.jpg

For deadlifting 900lbs, they aren't that big.....I bet if you asked anybody in the street, who can deadlift more....Dr.Deadlift or Some NFL running back with huge legs....99% of idiots will say the NFL guy.

A better view of his legs...they aren't massive at all.....Plenty of gym bros have bigger legs or similar leg size.

Nothing of his legs are amazing ....nothing...His calfs are really bad as well, which proves calves are worthless for lifting.

At most, his legs are somewhat alright, but for lifting 900lbs, they are damn small..

Your lifting IQ is really low.

that's my point- he's not muscular for his strength level and does not have great mass, yet his legs are above average and oversized for the rest of his frame. You will observe this in all thin lifters- their legs are still jacked.

I would say having arms is the most important while butthole is the least

I am not denying that reach is advantageous, all other attributes being equal. It is a huge asset to have on your side. But the recent history of champions shows that it is not necessary for a championship level fighter.

Hips.

Fedor and Tyson were largely successful due to hip movement.

I think you're naming successful fighters with long reach there is many, but you're attributing too much success in result of the reach
Anderson dominated people because of his timing and speed, his reach was never crazy for a middleweight, the current middleweight champ has a 74 inch reach. a guy like magny has a 81 inch reach at welterweight Tyrons reach is 72 inches and is mostly shoulders.

Conors arms are definitely long but he's not the champ khabib is and khabibs reach is like 70 inches and Conor had zero problem reaching Diaz, he had problems with Diazs durability and conditioning.

All I'm saying is the guys with the longest reach aren't winning in trending pattern.
You can name great fighters with long reach I can name many with short.
In the end your ability to impose your body type is what counts..
That's why this whole thread doesn't make sense.

His legs are not oversized for his frame bro...If anything, Dr.deadlifts best atttribute is his wide shoulders and back/lats, his delts are pretty damn good too, that's the only thing oversize about em....His legs are really above average(I mean above average compared to normal gym bros) and it's surprising that he deadlifts 900lbs, you would never expect that from his legs.

Of course there is other powerlifters with way bigger fucking legs who don't get close to Dr.Deadlift.

So leg size, really has nothing to do with it.

Dude if you think those legs are jacked...then LMFAO...You totally don't lift.

you are autistically approaching this from a bodybuilding perspective. Your claim initially was that there were skinny guys with huge squats, and I am showing you that even skinny guys with an elite squat have big legs. Not big by bodybuilder standards, but big to anyone with eyes to judge.

this guy is the GOAT, and when in clothes, he looks like a skinny twerp. Yet even he has muscular legs.

now before you invoke your inner misc'er and say he's a DYEL manlet, just stop and READ what I'm laying down instead of going back to your tiredass cliches.
