Antonio is a very decorated BJJ BB with a record of 9-2 with 7 sub wins. He was signed to the UFC and fought twice going 1-1, last fight being a spilt decision loss to Clint Hester in 2014. Is he still under contract with the UFC? If so why hasn't he been in the mix?

Apparently he's planning on returning late this year, if anyone was still wondering.

Just read some shit about him and he seems like a likable guy. Basically getting by pretty well by playing poker in recent years.

Saw that he was teaching at Gordo's a day or two ago.

He kinda just disappeared.

Good fighter who has now gone past being a promising prospect to being someone you probably won't see again, but is still a good welterweight.

SIR

Link for story. Very strange and sounds like he wasted some of his prime years. Maybe the hiatus helped his body heal up. From what I have seen in the sport, those breaks seem to hinder more than help.

Guy was pretty potent on the ground. Will be interesting if he thinks he can get back down to MW if he is currently walking around at nearly 250 lbs. He was a huge middleweight. Can't imagine he was going to try to get to 170 lb. at one point.
