Top 10, the div isnt stacked but he's getting older now so maybe he can get 7-8th but dont think he's reaching top of the div.

Fringe Top 10. He'd get KO'd as soon as he got any momentum...as has always been the case.

I have him top 10 but if somebody has him top 5 i can see it.

Yes he dominated Mitrione who knocked out Lewis, stopped Fedor and just went 5 hard rounds with Moldavsky who is one of the best wrestlers in the HW division and Bader wrestled him for 5 rounds with no problem while showing impressive speed and power rocking him in the first and nearly getting the KO. Enough for me to think Bader would beat Lewis more times than not who struggled badly with the 5'8 wrestler Latiffi and needed the judges to give him a gift decision.
This guy is either the most moronic Sherdogger ever (quite an accomplishment) or troll. Fighters can get better, and the Lewis who lost to Mitrione and Shawn Jordan (twice) is competely different animal. What's more, Mitrione was already declining when he left the UFC. The fact he beat Fedor says more about Fedor than anything else. Bader got finished 5 times in his prime years as a LHW in the UFC and never earned a title shot. That's all you need to know.

Without getting to see him compete at HW in the UFC and only seeing him at that weight in Bellator I'd have to assume he'd be top 10. Not sure about top 5 cause it's hard to know unless he fights there, but sadly I don't see that happening.

Bader does not have a physical build conducive to success in the UFC HW division. Bader is 6"2, has weighed in between 225.2 - 232.2 lb as a HW, and has a 74" inch reach.

Every Top 5 UFC HW currently is at least 6"3 and has a 79" inch reach.
Every Top 10 UFC HW has at least a 76" inch reach.
Only 2/15 Top 15 UFC HWs have weighed in below 239 in the UFC

Ryan Bader is not powerful enough nor a good enough finisher to be successful in the UFC HW division. Bader has a 41% KO rate and a 52% finishing rate.

12/15 Ranked UFC HWs have a KO rate above 65%
15/15 Ranked UFC HWs have a finishing rate above 65%

You cannot be the smallest HW in the division, which Ryan would be, and also the least powerful and the worst finisher. Bader was also knocked out 5 times at 205. Ryan may be a great wrestler but he does not weigh enough to control any ranked HW other than potentially Chris Daukaus.

This is not a knock on Ryan Bader, as there are literally no HWs built like him currently enjoying success in the UFC HW division, there are weight classes for a reason and in the UFC his weight class would be LHW not HW.

Pretty confident he’d be top 5. Maybe top 3 but That’s a reach.

Bader is very good at HW..

Gotta love these braindead UFC-hating shills.
When Mitrione is in the UFC: "That overrated TUF fighter and NFL guy...he wouldn't have a single win in Bellator's mighty HW division! Neither would Kongo! Wait, I can't say that..."

When Mitrione is in Bellator: "He's a massively underrated HW who would walk through guys like Rothwell, Browne and especially that Schaub clown! Oh wait, I can't say that either..."

When Bader/Davis were in the UFC: Those boring, no-good wrestlers! They'd be destroyed by mighty King Mo!

When Bader/Davis are in Bellator: These amazing, underrated guys would've ruled the UFC LHW division if they just had a chance. Oh wait...

Lewis is decently athletic and moves alright for a guy with his size and frame.
But we are not talking about that, we are talking about whether he is fast enough to catch Ryan Bader. I lean towards no.
.
Texiera's hands are slow and he caught a much younger/faster version of Bader.

Firstly your thirsty ass shilling is hilarious and desperate. Keep going my son. First you say Mitrione was declining when he left the UFC but how about Fedor who was 40 years old and even more washed up with 3x the fights of Matt when they fought. Then like a sneaky little rat you add that losing to Mitrione at that point of Fedors career somehow defines him and is supposed to say something about him? What is it supposed to say exactly about Fedor at 40 years old and 16 years into his career? Pathetic scummy shill lol.

Secondly it's cute how you try to pretend Derrick Lewis got better since losing to Mitrione and Jordan. In reality he's still the same bummy brawler with poor skills and knockout power. Poor grappling and poor cardio against grapplers who make him work.

Got walked down and TKOd by a 50 year old Mark Hunt and struggled badly with 5'8 LHW Latiffi who's inferior to Bader in every way. You're delusional ufc fan boy shilling and biased crappy posting just exposes you as another uneducated bummy ass UFC fan spawned by Dana White obsession and cheeetos. Name calling just shows badly you're getting mopped in here. Ufc shill boy.

Top 10 or top5 with the right match up
Loses to ngannou
Loses to stipe
Might be able to wrestlefuck gane
50/50 against lewis
Loses to blayde
Loses to volkov
Might be able to wresltefuck rozenstruik
Beat daukus shamal and tybura
Loses to aspinal
I agree with most of this but if he can wrestlefuck strikers with a history of being takedown prone Volkov would be just as susceptible imo.

volkov showed ok takedown defense against blayde and werdum and stuffed all 16 attempt from tybura and good wrestling cardio compared to gane and rozenstruik also volkov doesn't just accept guard and actually stand up

Really? Three rambling paragraphs when "I'm a brainless anti-UFC shill" would've sufficed? I guess brevity isn't necessary when you dwell in mom's basement and have no productive life.

  1. Bader was finished 5 times in his prime years as a LHW in the UFC. Now he could come back and be a dominant HW at age 37 with more mileage and an even worse chin? Do you realize how stupid this is?
  2. At age 28, Bader got rocked then finished by a way-past-his prime Tito Ortiz. Tito! A wrestler who practically never knocked people down with his fists in the UFC. And now we're to believe an old/slow Bader has the reflexes to avoid heavy shots by Lewis, Ngannou, Blaydes and other who hit 10X harder than Tito! That's beyond laughable
  3. Yes, fighters improve, sometimes at an older age. Mark Hunt started out terribly in MMA and made some big improvements/adjustments in the mid-30s. Werdum refined his striking and also made improvements at that age. Lewis did the same thing.

Yep. Bader might get a couple of TDs, but he's not going to LnP his way to a decision vs. Volkov. And he'll get worked over standing. There's no way he can deal with the reach and kicks.

Whittaker got KOed by Wonderboy at WW no way does he do well at MW.
Bader’s wins at hw are mitrione, fedor and mo lawal. And sat night. I mean, we can speculate that he’d be top 5 at hw but he hasn’t faced that level of competition and he’s likely not top 5 at lhw either.

Apples and oranges. Bader is 37 and is in an org where a 46-year old UFC reject is a top HW. We're talking about changing both weight classes and promotions.

Fair enough I didn't see the Tybura match. Just remembered the Blaydes match and thinking is this all Blaydes talent or has Volkov not made huge leaps since the Bellator days.
