Where would be your ideal zombie apocalypse hideout?

My house. Just pull a car in front of the windows on the front of the house. I'm on a hill so they can't reach the windows on the sides. They'd have to go into the basement but there's only one door. Easily reinforced. I have water filtration already. Pond extending 500 feet or so each direction in my backyard. Just need solar panels and a battery, shopped for them but they're still just a tad too high. On the other side of the pond is not much except for a bar and hotel which back up to the highway. Furher south i have a cabin in the woods to bug out too.

There is series of islands on the north end of my lake.

Load up boat. With everything. And.bail out.

I. Have solar panels for batttery charging bbatteryyy powered tools. Etc.

There is lots of wild Life there, I. Have it all planed out.

unless the zombies learn to swim. I’m good.

I have tents and all the necessary camping supplies until. I. Can build a house out there.

What kind of zombies are we talking about here?
Slow ass Night of the Living Dead/TWD zombies?
28 Days Later fully mortal zombies? World War Z infect-at-all costs hordes?
D&D undead and carrying disease but don't turn you into zombies zombies?
Game of Thrones wights that I need volcanic glass to kill?

It makes a huge difference.

Where I live now, just need to remove a couple stairs whenever I come and go and zombies could never get in

I'd prefer a nomadic approach. I'd gather up a posse and we'd go from house to house scavenging supplies and sheltering in place. Occupants would be forced to give up their supplies and flee or lead us to where we can find more supplies. Occasionally we'd bump into other posses like ourselves but we'd send one of our captives up first to scout them out and if necessary negotiate our way out of a conflict.

Are they slow, useless zombies?
Or like possessed-angry-as-feck running Usain Bolt speeds 28 days later zombies?

My parents' house in Pennsylvania. It's on a mountain with one road leading to it. Plenty of wildlife. Plenty of guns including hunting rifles that are proven tack drivers out to 200 yards and ammo to feed them. Two story house with clear view of road and property all of the way to the tree line. Apple, Pear, and Fig trees. Really good soil, we used to have a .25 acre garden.

Four car garage with Dad's fullsize V8 4x4 pickup and Mom's 4 cylinder gas sipper AWD sedan at the ready. Melee weapons like crazy in the garage. Axe, hatchet, sledge and deadblow hammers, scythe, pitchfork, chainsaws, steel rebar, and more.

Few neighbors within a mile. Neighbors are friendly and helpful. Fresh water source within walking distance. Mom was a trophy winning competitive rifle shooter, Dad was a trophy winning trap shooter with 12 gauge. The food pantry is stocked as is the medicine cabinet. Mom is a retired RN, Dad was Navy. I was Navy and a First Class Scout . All of us know CPR and at least basic first aid, can form tourniquets, and my Dad and I can build and fabricate fairly well and have decades of hunting experience.

House has great 2nd to 1st story shooting solution. Also has plenty of hiding places for ambush. Coal bin in cellar is concrete walled with a large metal reinforced wooden door and can act as a safe room if necessary. The area gets a lot of snow which would be a plus for available fresh water and creating a natural barrier to foot or vehicle traffic.

The only downfall is no generator but there is a 500 gallon above ground propane tank that hasn't been below 250 gallons in my lifetime so at least heating and cooking would be available for a bit.

My loft

Easy, fuckers can’t climb

Some islands off the coast. A lil boat and a cove and I'm good
