Would be a huge disappointed if we don't see more of her. she medaled twice in world's wrestling and twice in world's bjj, and has a perfect ammy and pro record so far. Someone get me Dana on the line.

Had no idea about the cancer stuff. Damn she’s had it rough. I’ll be surprised if she’s comes back which is a shame as she was building some momentum

she broke her neck. she hasn't announced retirement, but IF she does come back she may fight one more time and hang up the Reebok kit after she injures her neck again.

Meh she faded in her last fight. Not sure if she could win over 5 rounds with either champ. Also Valentina is huge. Anyone moving up to fight her have a slime chance to win. She rag dolled Joanna.

She suffered the injury in that fight though. She's never faded before.
 
Soon after Joanna hinted at an early 2021 return Suarez also hinted at the same. I thought that was interesting. She tried to book her next fight vs JJ after the Valentina loss knowing she was on the first and only retooling of her MMA career then when it wouldn't materialize went on injury break. Now when JJ might be coming back in an again vulnerable state she might also happens to be ready? How convenient. But hey it worked for Ortega.

ufc isnt everything in life ... whatever she does she will be great at it ..

that being said i always thought she was hot and knew someday she could/would be champ

hope she recovers and does what's best for her and her family
 
Initial injury was before the fight, but it reoccurs since 2011, which is why it's potentially career ending.

Suarez tweaked her neck in the lead-up to her fight with Nina Ansaroff in June, then again during the early moments of the fight, when she went in for a takedown on Ansaroff.


"The entire fight, my arm was numb, my face was numb," Suarez said. "I think it's really scary, because you don't know what's going on in there, you don't know what could mess it up. It's a scary thing to have to worry about during your fights."
