Where the Bo Nickal hype at???

I kinda forgot about him to be honest. The hype really died down as it just took way too long for him to get into the Octagon for a UFC debut after his Contender Series fight. I had no idea he was fighting this weekend. I'm actually excited to see his debut, now that I know.

To be fair people were hyping Khamzat as a 2 weight champ after he beat John Phillips and Rhys McKee.

Pickett is at least comparable to those two if not better.

Yea but Bo came in with that same level of hype before he even fought on DWCS and for some bizzare reason had 2 fights there, and now is being handed another can. Khamzat's third UFC fight was Meerschaert who was at least ranked 20th, Bo's third fight is vs someone sub 70. We are now aware of the potential, let's move on up to someone who isn't a joke.

I'm excited to see Bo Nickal fight. I hope they don't fast track him to a title fight actually. He needs more experience against top-level MMA fighters.

He's on the main card of UFC 285 vs a can in his debut and they're giving him a countdown segment.

TS woke up from his Bo Nickle dream-filled slumber, logged into sherdog, and observed that there weren't any threads on the front page dedicated to his favorite fighter. So here we are.

The 'Dagestani killer' is fighting this week and no one mentioning his name... really?<Durant35>

He an undefeated super prospect... He would end Izzy and Potent inside 1 round. Put some fucking respect on my boy Bo.

Watch... after he gets a first round submission/KO everyone gon be on his dick again
He fought zero Dagestanis, he is dagestani killer how, exactly?

Its very strange who the UFC chooses to push.. and then they give him Pickett who is 2-4 in the UFC. It should be an easy win for Bo to continue his unearned hype.

What is his MMA record? And who were his opponents?

This is Nickal's 4th PRO fight. First UFC fight.

Khamzat was already 8-0 when he fought GM3 which made it his 9th.
Big difference there, Cain and Weidman were fighting for world titles at 8-0. Everybody's development is different.

This fight isn't interesting and Nickal should maul Pickett but let's not pretend that he should already be fighting borderline contenders in his UFC debut. He's the definition of green.

Khamzat beat Ikram Aliskerov, that was a big reason I was hyped on him. An 8-0 prospect who was a Sambo world champ at the time. Also John Phillips is arguably better than Pickett and Meerschart is much more so.
GM3 was Khamzat's 9th pro fight and his 3rd UFC fight.

This is Nickal's 4th fight ever and his UFC debut. Let's not pretend he should be in there with GM3 type opponents just yet.

I can't wait to see him fight. Huge fan of his college/international wrestling career and hoping he has the same success in MMA and shows those dirty Russians they ain't shit.

... I haven't seen anyone in here say those things lol. Seen some of his wrestling matches though. If those skills translates well in the UFC, he will be an issue. Those hands seems to be coming along well too.

There's other questions like cardio and chin. I don't think Pickett will answer those questions.
He's got great cardio and lasted quite a while with Gordon Ryan in their grappling match despite being a low belt

I'm hoping he is as good as advertised. I think the UFC needs a new American superstar.

Thats not what I'm pretending, I'm just pointing out the hype for Khamzat relative to performance vs competition faced was far more warranted. They were also the same age and had been training in MMA for about the same period of time by this point. Khamzat was about 4 years into training MMA when he fought in the UFC firstly, Bo is about 3-4 years into his training since wrestling as well, 2020 was when I first heard about him down at ATT.

Also like I said, Rinya is the same age and further along with better opponents beaten. Same caliber if not better wrestling credentials and he started training at the same time thereabouts for MMA.

The hype for Bo is manufactured someone and absolutely over the top as of now.
