I read the book before seeing the movie so the movie was a little underwhelming but still decent. The book is pretty good.

I watched it recently and personally wasnt a big fan of it. It was alright I guess. Thought the story seemed really contrived and unbelievable and I doubt the story is as real as the film claims.

I'm torn on it, part of me REALLY wanted to like it. There were some great individual performances.

I believe this is one of Robert Deniro's best performances. (Awakenings being is all time #1).

I loved small scenes like this:


something about this film seemed incomplete,

I thought they killed off kevin Bacon's character way too early. It's like the film had the climax in the middle of the movie, not towards the end.

It was a great scene, but I wished it wasn't toward the middle of the movie.
