Hello - I am just strarting out and was a little confused and don't want to overtrain and try to maximize the time I do strength train and weight lift.

I'm going BJJ MT and Boxing from 5:30-8:30, and I don't think it would be a good idea to go lift weights after 3 hours would it?

To throw lifting in would I have to train in the AM?

Thanks for the help

lifting can be used to condition quite easily. using olympic lifts in low/ high rep schemes. as to where you put it in your daily schedule....thats a matter of personal preference.

I personally wouldn't weight train immediately after 3 hours of training because in my opinion, I would feel tired therefore making my lifting lousy.
Work out in the AM unless you are only training say MWF or only certain days of the week. Fit weight lifting in on the off days.

6 hours should separate intense sessions such as these.

That's what i was thinking, but wasn't sure. Thanks you guys.

My first day was today also, got tapped out only 3 times and managed to choke someone out surprisingly! He got pissed and choked me out right after that though. lol Able to stalemate the rest of the people, I was actually pretty shocked. JJ is fun.

But yeah, be throwing the workouts in the AM then.
