Where did "shushing "the crowd come from?

They should use their middle finger for maximum crowd jimmy rustling. Just an observation.

You know, where the fighter puts his index finger up to his lips and goes "shhhh" like you do to a child.
I hate that shit.
I don't get why someone would to hush the crowd from cheering for their performance?
Whoever started that is on my list. Js

I hate that ish too.

It's stinky.

Like sex.

I really hate it. Even worse when they keep it going for an awkward amount of time like taking laps around the cage still doing it.

I always thought it was like "shhhh he's sleeping" after they knocked a guy out.

Its obviously a pro wrassling thing to insult the crowd.

Me and my other shit head friends at school would try to shush the entire cafeteria during lunch just to see how awkwardly quiet we could make the room.

We were idiots. Fun though...

I'm still crowd funding mark hunt and a religiously dedicated hacker group to find internet trolls so i guess i'm auto in favour of fucking up fans..

i think it means gay stuff

You’re only supposed to do it after a KO. You shush the crowd so your opponent can sleep in peace.

-To silence a opposite crowd that has been insulting ina road game.
-To silence the oppositive team that talket smack pre game.
-As a sign to silence critics after a player is given a hard time by his own crowd/press after being in a slump.
