When will we see Akiyama again?

he's constantly losing, I personally don't want to see him fighting in the UFC

This. All the "sexy" bullshit aside, the guy has barely won any fights in the UFC. One of his "wins" being a gift from the judges against Belcher.

There are far bigger robberies and gift wins than Akiyama v Belcher; it was a close competitive fight and Akiyama ragdolling and controlling the bigger Belcher on the ground gave him the edge and the nod. Do elaborate why Belcher won though.

Win or lose, he was recipient of 3 consecutive Fight of the Night honors.

He's also 1-4 in the UFC having lost his last 4 fights consecutively.

I like Akiyama but at this point he's only real worth to the UFC is cards being held in Japan.

Bullshit, the man is not only a fan favourite under the hardcores, he's also a fan favourite for the public. He has undeniable value for the Asian market but also just as much value for the US PPV market.

Akiyama said himself that he doesn't want any easy fights. He said that he turned down easier opponents to challenge himself in the UFC.

i think akiyama is DONE as a fighter. i mean he may fight again but will not be a good one most likely. my best friend (korean) tells me he always sees akiyama on a bunch of korean tv shows (survivor in multiple occasions, talk shows, etc). he is not dedicated in mma for sure.

anyway, if he is going to keep competing, the ufc needs to "force" him to take an easier fight for both parties' sakes.
he was never near the top level in the ufc but the list of the fighters he faced is pretty ridiculous. after belcher, he lost to leben, bisping, belfort, and shields. the majority of the ufc fighters, even the ones that are better than sexy, would be 0-4 against that list too.

I would love to see him against thiago alves! That would be a great fight!
