I think I heard he tore his ACL not too long ago not sure about when he did thou. If and when he does come back I'd love to see him against a good welterweight not named jake shields. maybe Thiago Alves or Erick Silva

Akiyama said himself that he doesn't want any easy fights. He said that he turned down easier opponents to challenge himself in the UFC.
