When Salary Would Make You Pay for PPVs?

I haven't bought a PPV since.....GSP VS Bisping, I think? But I don't illegally stream them either. My wife and I make north of 250k per year combined. It's not about the money, it's about me having lost most of my interest in the sport over the past ~10 years.

80$ is a fucking joke though.

All those that have said anything other than paying full price for PPV have been reported to the authorities

<{danayeah}>

If I’m having people over at the shop to watch it, I’ll just buy it because it’s more reliable than constantly refreshing it and clicking through 27 ads.

If I’m home alone and bored, I’ll just stream it. I’m a salaried employee of a company I own, my salary isn’t that high but I get lots of free shit. Lol…

The more people make, the stingier they get. I'm making more money than ever and I just cancelled espn+ so that proves it.

Most PPV nowadays have 2-3 good fights with the other two being wmma or something worse. PPVs are rarely 7/10+ quality, why would I pay for the trash that was Jones - Miocic, despite the former supposedly being the p4p king?

I’m curious how much you would have to make to start paying for UFC PPVs? Or would you never pay? For me it would probably be $250k just because it’s so easy to get it for free. I could never pay for a PPV with women on the main card though. No chance in hell I could ever give a penny of my hard earned money to watch someone that I could get off my couch and KO stiff.

(Can we get a poll with $50k salary ranges or something?)
I was buying ppv or going to fight parties or going bww for every ppv back in the day when I was making $9.50 an hour. (2009-2017 time period)
Now I make about $70K a year and I rarely buy ppv because I'm not paying $70 or $80 for a card that has 2-4 recognizable names and the rest are interchangeable no names. The same fighters that's years ago would've been competing on regional circuit and wouldn't have been able to sniff a UFC contract without a 8 to 1 win loss ratio. Conor McGregor had to become a double champ in another organization before the UFC would even entertain signing him them forced him to compete at 145 after he had just won the Cage Rage 155 title. The UFC didn't want you if you weren't an established fighter. Now the UFC has more prospects than journeymen let alone actual contenders on the roster. That's why I refuse to pay for the ppv.
Now I will say this: if the UFC makes Alex vs Jon Jones I will buy that ppv. It will be the first ppv I've purchased since UFC 210.

For the record nowadays I might slip into a sports bar for main and co main event but most of the times I get the results of fights the actual night of but watch the fights a few days after they actually take place.

I’m still saving for a fight kit, once I make that purchase I’ll start paying for the ppv events

Well, to be honest, after i was forced into retirement due to back injury early, i dont get much SS. I wouldn't pay what UFC is charging for these garbage PPV cards the past 10 years even if i could afford to buy them every month.

TS is Dana trying to catch all the hooligans that stream PPVs! (jk obviously)

I don't buy them any more, but I used to buy them all without fail. From UFC 129 to somewhere in the low 200s I bought every single one minus Shogun vs Henderson since I had other plans and missed it. Used to get the squad together and make a thing of it. But, most of my more casual friends lost interest once their old heroes retired (Chuck for example). But now? I ain't paying a dime. The product hasn't gotten better and the price keeps going up, plus ordering PPVs is more of a pain in the ass now than it used to be, plus I don't want to support a company that lets their CEO slap the shit out of his wife and face literally no repercussions.

Same. I only buy when I have people over. Least risk of shit fucking up and having to fix it during an important moment.

I used to buy them back in the day and pre them under the know your role banner. Was originally a WWF group.

I used to buy every single ppv but then I got addicted to only fans

i used to buy only fans and then I got addicted to tube amp simulators

Better question at what price would you buy every ppv. For me it's 10-15$.

We are a two income family at just under 200k (but 4 kids). I'd probably need to get closer to 350k a year for me to not feel the guilt of thinking I'm stealing from my children's future making an 80 dollar purchase for most PPVs. Right now I buy about 2 a year.
