When did you become a fan of Colby Covington?

I’m sure everyone has been wondering how I became the leader of CHAOS nation.

It all started December 2016, when Colby was on the prelims facing Bryan Barbarena at UFC on Fox. Prior to this fight, I never really heard or recognized Colby’s name despite following every major MMA event since UFC 114.

Barbarena had just killed Sage and Warlley Alve’s hype, and I was still a regular sports gambler at this time. Colby was -400 and Barbarena was +300 on my website, so I took the chance and bet a small wager on Barbarena thinking it was easy underdog money.

I remember watching the prelims and being shocked at the pressure and pace Colby was pushing, he completely dominated Barbarena from bell to bell. I knew this was a future champion I was watching. From that moment on I learned to never doubt the King of Chaos.

So sherdog, when and how did you become a Colby fan?
Thanks for this, it's legitimately kept me awake at night.
Knowing the story behind the leader of chaos nation was just ahead of how the Egyptians really built the pyramids, one down and one to go.

I was a fan about 3 fights ago. Thought him getting beer cups thrown at him in Brazil was funny AF. The cringe got too much right before his interim fight though.

Lmao.

I feel bad for the type of person that is actually a fan of that cringey guy. You gotta be out of touch with how the world works.

I became a fan of Colby Choas Covington after he destroyed that bum Demian Maia. The King of Brazil earned my respect after that. He's going to KO Woodley with ease then have a foursome with pornstars in the octagon for all you Cheeto eating virgin nerds to watch.

I liked when he called out Maia after his win over Meunier in 2016. People on this site were laughing at him at the time.

His domination of Dong sold me on him.

i disliked him because he beat up Dong Hyun Kim, they I changed because he was a possible new contender. So I hoped on and probably became a fan after he beat Maia up, then to RDA.

I liked his tenacity and pressure style from the beginning,it's when he started his stupid act (or got more of a platform to show it)that he started getting annoying.I don't dislike him,I just don't want to hear him talk. It's so weird that most of the fans that call his style boring are the same that love Khabib but that's just how haters are. He's a nice addition to the mix at the top of the division so that in itself is exciting.I'm a fan of his fighting, not of him but ones much more important than the other, but apparently not to some fans.

Impressed me a lot with his performance against DHK.

Because i give no fucka about the drama of this shit, i became a fan of his when he chocked out meniuar (spelling) on the rory and wonderboy card. He was strong and pushed the fight hard until he got the finish. Fun fact, it was also my birthday (june 18th 2016) and he hasnt lost since. He looked good when he finished max griffin after that fight. Hate him or love him, you have to be an idiot not to think the fucking guy can fight. Fight fans should worry more about the fights, not the drama. Guys a winner and i enjoy grapple heavy fighter that push a heavy pace and do more then try to win on points and only position battles. Guys like Luke, khabib, colby, Ortega are great fighters and not "boring" wrestlers. Watch kick boxing if you think chaos is boring nerds

You were born on June 18th, 2016?

The internet traffic he brings to the site... which probably isn't much.
