Opinion When America Was Great

Are you a "Build that wall!" bro?

Like, might as well turn our back to 80 years of foreign policy. I'm so sure Trump has our best interest at heart.
To be precise, alienating a post-Soviet Russia in the past 20 years has all been squandering the gains of the Cold Wars foreign policy. Throwing them the most minimal bone of a neutral Ukraine would have gone a long way. Instead now a generation of young Ukrainians and Russian is gone because America wanted Russia's little brother to be her own satellite. If you want to ignore all the maidan stuff, it would at most be squandering all that to die on the hill of Ukraine sovereignty absolutism - a bit easier to stomach but still not worth it imo.

I don't wear rose colored glasses with regards to Reagan I can promise you. On the other hand, he had honor. He had human decency.

Reagan had honor and human decency? I know you're a fucking moron, but I honestly didn't think it was possible to be this retarded while still being able to use a computer.

To be fair, A LOT of work was done for Reagan's administrarion to pander to decorum. It wasn't nearly as blatantly inflammatory as Trumpism is, where the Republicans displayed revenge porn on the House floor. Reagan's people never would have done sh*t like that.

Can you expand slightly on "alienating post Soviet Russia?"

You think Trump is better? Really?

Compared to today, America was much greater when Reagan told them to tear down the wall. You know this.

You think Ukraine was an American satellite country? Come on, you're just throwing words out there.

Russia longs for their imperialist past, it's Russia that wanted to expand and exploit.

The biggest misconception people have about MAGA, is that Trump is referring "when America was great" is referring to the post-war era (Late 1940s to mid 1960s).

But in actuality he is referring to the robber-baron era, 1880 - 1929

Yes, this. He wants another Gilded Age. He just rebranded it "Golden Age" and launched a commemorative crypto scam

lol, WTF?

Gorbachev and Reagan worked together to end the cold war. If Trump even mentions Putin you call him a Russian asset and strangely imagine them being in a gay relationship.
Gorbachev was a progressive who gave Soviet people more liberties. Putin is an imperialist who actively suppresses liberty. The two are nothing alike.

I get it. We shouldn't have fought the nazis in WW2 because too many innocent Brits and Germans died. You are right.

I had a Trumper that defended pardoning people that attacked cops on J6 by saying "Well some cops probably deserved it. Cops aren't perfect ya know."

There is nothing that Trump says or does that can't be defended by them.

I can’t pinpoint an exact date, but sometime long before this:

Imagine debasing yourself for an 80 year old domestic terrorist that wouldn’t piss on you if you were on fire.
