This is probably why Randleman was so successful. He never listened poor Coleman, shouting himself hoarse, and the opponent kept expecting him to follow instructions.

Rumble was definitely planning for the head kick. From this angle and likely due to frame rate of the gif it looks like Rumble’s head connected on Gus’ chin.

I remember Gus shutting down the headbutt completely at the post presser giving all the praise to Rumble but it certainly looks like he got headbutted. Damn shame.
